[Utilization of Silver Labor][Type the document subtitle]Labor Economics Term PaperHuman productivity accelerates industrial development and ultimately results in substantial social changes, such as improvement of hygiene, higher standards of living, and dramatic progress in medical science. These changes directly or indirectly led to an extension of the human life span. The resulting increase of senior citizens in the total population is becoming a critical issue in many countries. Modern society is changing quickly and the graying of the population is one of the fastest changing aspects of the modern workplace. This fact cannot be disregarded by corporations, governments, and other workplace policy stakeholders. In general, a society is called an ‘ageing society’ if at least 7% are senior citizens of total populations and an ‘aged society’ is one in which there are at least 15% senior citizens. A society that includes 20% of senior citizens out of total populations is called a ‘post-ease of aged workers. Therefore, graying ultimately reduces the productivity of overall economies. According to research of International Trade Statistics, in 2000, the rate of productive population out of total population was 71.1%. It will be expected that it will be decreased by approximately 55%. This fact means that the burden per person, who is a productive worker and pays all kinds of taxes will rise to support senior citizens. In 2000, ten citizens supported one senior citizen; but by 2025, four people will have to support each senior citizen; just two people will support one senior citizen by 2050. The rate of 50-62 years old people who represent as senior citizen in total productive population was 18.4%, but it will dramatically increase to 36.6% by 2050. This decrease of the productive population means that overall labor supplies in the U.S. economy will be seriously decreased without any dramatic increase of employment and extra labor force. Even if there are optimistic ecoal period in order to lead to smooth growth. Therefore, the government needs to offer proper financial incentives to those industries as well as some sorts of employees’ benefits programs. The government is also able to offer subsidies to employees who are engaged in those industries, and it could also expand the government budget for childcare and leisure facilities for workers in those industries as an added incentives.The second solution could be Institutional aid to activate silver industries: government would be required to implement institutional aid to silver industries in order to meet rising needs of senior citizens. These government activities would lead not only to elevation of standard of living for senior citizens, but also to stimulating economic growth. While demands for medical service, asset management, and financial service, leisure, and travel plans are rapidly increasing, supplies of those services do not keep up with and meet those needs. The U.S. government is ablwho value what they have to offer. It provides job opportunities to senior citizens by building partnerships with various firms and it tries to raise their funds through donations and sponsorship. They spend these donations to help senior citizens by building shelters, providing financial aid, and offering medical services for senior citizens.England is the one of the advanced countries in terms of attempting various efforts to solve the graying problem. In the late 90s, England recognized that there is no other way to overcome the graying problem without finding ways to utilize senior labor. Thus, England started a nationwide campaign in order to change a widespread viewpoint in which employees should leave their jobs when they became older. The main motto of this campaign is “Ageism, That’s so Yesterday!” The campaign primarily included to remove the age limit on labor-wanted advertisements, to place value more on employees’ abilities than their age when make decision for promotion. lans don’t meet their needs. The uniqueness of Japanese firms are that the firms, themselves, are so active to expand the age limits. According to research from the ministry of health, 98% of major firms (from the twelve thousands firms in total) are willing to expand the age limits. This is because government efforts to change perspectives of senior labors and various aids to reduce companies’ burdens by hiring senior employees are working. Japan is further along in solving the problem because they have been working of it longer.There are actual systems to show how companies tried to utilize senior labor efficient ways. First, Toyota’s Skilled Partner program to rehire employees. The maximum retirement age is 65 years old, and these employees allow to go to the company twice or three times a week. New age people regard east as somewhere new world that has to be pioneered and then they rushed to east again. The main characters of Gatsby: Nick Caraway, J Gatsby, Daisy, Tom Buchanan, and Jordan Baker were all from mid-west. Unfortunately, mid-west people as a people just mentioned above, however, didn’t accomplish succeed lives after all. Their American dream just disfigured to ruined and depraved shape and they were all just floating on modern American society without any moral standards and faith. Fitzgerald himself really missed pure shape of American dream at the beginning of American history. So, my purpose of speech is going to be people should change their lifestyle to exercise more regularly for their healthy life, and I also want to inspire you to join exercise more regularly after my speech. If I briefly introduce what I’m going to do, firstly I’m going to explain what kinds of problems are going to be generated if we don’t do exercise. And ving you a conclusion that people should exercise regularly for their life.BodyOkay, Let’s start with first part.What kinds of problems are going to be generated if we don’t do exercise by the way. When we discuss about exercise we’re not able to separate exercise without mentioning about obesity. The worst story that people don’t do exercise. Thus, there is no reasonable excuse that people can’t do exercise because of their busy schedule.Let’s go to the next part.There are lots of advantages of exercise as you know. The biggest advantage of exercise can be explained physical effects as I’ve already mentioned. Highline provides two PE classed. One is total fitness and the other is weight training. I think sometimes we have to put pressure on ourselves to achieve a specific goal. If we take PE classes, we have to go to gym regularly even though we don’t want to go, but if we think more optimistically, we’ll be able to get a good body shape and health through PE classes plus, we can get a degree. But it doesn’t have to be limited just PE classes. You can also register fitness center like LAation to exercise more regularly. According to American Accreditation HealthCare Commission, Exercising with a friend or a group of people can help make it more fun, interesting, and keep you motivated to continue with a regular exercise routine. Actually, while I was researching internet to get some information for my speech, lots of people already posted their personal stuffs on web site to find exercise partner.
