Here is the Paradise!Introduction: Where do you want to go for your vacation? There is a beautiful paradise you might consider. That is Maui. Maui is one of the Hawaii islands. If you are planning a vacation for this winter, you might get some helpful information from my speech, because I did some research to share with you. Today, I am going to talk about three tourist spots in Maui. They are Haleakala National Park, Molokini, and the Road to Hana.Transition: First, I am going to tell you Haleakala National Park.Body: I.Haleakala National Park is Maui’s main natural attraction.A.Sunrise at the top of Haleakala is an unforgettable scene for me.1.According to the book, Maui, Haleakala means “house of the sun.”a)That means it is well known as beautiful sunrise spot.(i)When the red sun rises over the mountain, it usually makes people exclaim.(ii)The sunrise there looks like red curtains.B.According to the book, The Burning Island, Haleakala National Park is Maui’s highest point and the summit of the volcano Haleakala.

Journal #1My best friend went California for studying a month ago and visited me last week. This was the first time that my friend stays in my house for long time. We went Manhattan everyday. Actually, I didn’t know how I read a map and which direction is right. However, my friend and I traveled everywhere only using map and subway map. Now, I have confidence to go Manhattan alone. I am not a coward now!Journal #2Last Saturday, I invited church’s friends. I want to treat them to lunch. Actually, one of my friends was supposed to take the interview of Five Town College and come to my house, so I asked other people to a lunch party. I bought good- quality steak and prepared a couple of dishes. I grilled the steak in the back yard and made strawberry salad, fried mushroom, and coconut shrimp. Everybody enjoyed food and evaluated that my food is so tasty. Their praise makes me happy.Journal #3I really like to watch musical shows, so I go on Broadway once a month. When my friend visited me from California last week, we went on Broadway because of watching a musical show. There is a TKTS that is ticket office. We can get 50% off tickets in TKTS on Broadway. We wanted to see ‘Hairspray’, but there aren’t enough tickets. Eventually, we bought ticket that is ‘Little Mermaid.’ Actually, we didn’t expect because we thought it is for children. However, it was intriguing and awesome. The little mermaid and other actors wore roller-skate and moved like they swam. I took all Disney musicals including Little Mermaid. The Lion King, Mary Poppins, and Little Mermaid are fantastic musical shows for me and I will never forget them.Journal#4My freind and I went The New York Botanical Garden in Blonx today. There is the orchid exhibition during April. We bought an annual ticket that we can visit freely during a year. Many orchids look very different and colors are also various. I found really cute orchid. It looked like a bird because it looks like to have eyes, hands, and wings.Journal #5The reason that I like to live in New York is shopping. I love to go shopping when I feel lonely or upset. If I get new clothes or accessories, I can get feeling of satisfaction with new stuffs. In front of my house, there is a big mall- Walt Whitman mall. I go this mall at least once a week. Unlike Korea, there are several big sales in U.S.A. These become to me good news. I usually get gorgeous outfits during the sale period.Journal #6My husband and I love to travel around the world. Although we have been married for just 1 year, we have traveled 3 different countries. We are planning to go Hawaii after this semester, so we already booked air plane tickets and hotel. These days, I have read travel book about Hawaii. Whenever I read the book, I am fascinated by Hawaii. I am really looking forward going Hawaii and doing water sports.Journal #7Mother’s day and Father’s day are just around the corner. In Korea, we have same day. We called Parents’ day. It is on May. 8th. This week, we prepared presents for our parents. We bought I-Robot that is vacuum. It can clean by itself because it is the robot. We already have used it and it is really useful. I hate to vacuum, so my husband bought for me. I want them to like my present.Journal #8My husband and I went to Bronx Zoo. Today weather was so great. We arrived at 10 at Bronx zoo and saw around the zoo. It was really exciting. We saw deer, flamingo, polar bear, and peacock. Peacock looked like an elegance woman. When it spread its wing, it was awesome. The colors were really gorgeous and I wanted to bring it in my back yard. We didn’t see the tigers because the weather was too hot. They might relax in the cool area.Journal 9My husband’s coworker invited my husband and me. His coworker is from India and he has 2 children. My husband and I prepared Korean cake for appreciating their invitation. They prepared curry for dinner and we really enjoyed it. Actually, I literally like Indian curry. In Korea, we have curry, but it is Japanese style, not Indian style. The taste is totally different between Indian one and Korean one. I prefer Indian curry. After dinner, we played the game with Wii. We played tennis game and I won.Journal 10My husband’s coworker invited my husband and me. His coworker is from India and he has 2 children. My husband and I prepared Korean cake for appreciating their invitation. They prepared curry for dinner and we really enjoyed it. Actually, I literally like Indian curry. Furthermore, the government extended retirement age. There are several silver towns in my country. They are villages to care for senior people. Some senior citizens live in them, but some people can not use them due to expensive utility fees. In this case, their sons or daughters have to support their parents. The government gives a little money to elderly people. We call it- an old-age pension. Generally speaking, since most seniors retire from their jobs, they can not get regular incomee.

There are a lot of animals in the world. Most animals have their specific feats and people like animals due to those skills. If I could be an animal, I want to be a dolphin. Dolphins are really gorgeous and intelligent. Also, they are friendly to people.Dolphin is attractive animal. I like good-looking and cute animal like a rabbit and squirrel and I want to be an animal like them. Have you ever touched dolphin’s skin? It is smooth and silky and its skin is so shiny. It seems that someone glues some silver powder on its skin. Dolphin’s lip, in addition to its color, is adorable. Its lip is short and looks like a bird’s lip. Most dolphins are gray and blue and these colors are really attractive. I heard there are pink dolphins in the South America. If I could be a dolphin, I want to be a pink one.Dolphin is intelligent animal. Dolphin’s performance makes many children enthusiastic as well as adults. Dolphins have high level of ability to understand, so many trainers teach them and put dolphins in a show. Dolphins can jump from the water to the air and pass through the ring that is hanging on the ceiling. They also sing a song using their own vocalized sound. Several animals don’t have capacities to think, and just play and eat food. I ,however, don’t want to be a lazy animal. I want to be a more intelligent and diligent animal like dolphin.Dolphin is hospitable to anyone. They aren’t scared of people and follow them. That is the reason training dolphins is easy. Last year, I went on cruise from Florida to the Bahamas. At that time, my husband and I chose activity that is ‘snorkeling with dolphins.’ At first, I was frightened that dolphins would hit and hurt me. However, I was surprised about their characteristics because they liked to come closer to people and didn’t hurt anyone. Dolphins seemed to be good friends of people. I really like to meet friends and I am a warm person. Therefore, I want to be a socialized animal like dolphin.I am a nice-looking, smart, and hospitable person. My characteristics are really suitable for being a dolphin, so I want to be a dolphin. Dolphins are gorgeous and have abilities to learn. Also they are friendly to people. If I could be a dolphin, I will be satisfied with my life.
