1. Introduction In this paper, I will intend to discuss the expressionism art movement appeard after Post-impressionism from 1905- 1933. First I look at the meaning of expressionism in general and in terms of art. Then I tell the expressionism art in a historian context and how it could become one of large modern art movement. I have a closer look at expressionism artists and their works in comparison with Impressionism or Fauvism. Finally I examine why the expressionism movement "died out around 1924" but influenced later art, such as Abstractionism, Abstract expressionism.2. Freedom of Expression  Meaning of "Expessionism" "All human action is expressive, a gesture is an intentionally expressive action. All art is expressive - of its author and of the situation in which he works - but some art is intended to move us through visual gestures that transmit, and perhaps give release to, emotions and emotionally charged messages. Also, it has well been over 80 years in korea , since the first Korean movie Borders was made. Since the time of their creation, movies have played a role of helping audiences escape and realize reality in which they live in.In movies, what creates the illusion of fantasy and the realization of the real world is "fashion". For example, it was the many elegant dresses that transformed Julia Robert's character in Pretty Woman, the black sunglasses made fashionable by the characters of the Matrix, the green velvet dress that portrayed the arrogance of Scarlet in Gone with the Wind, and the traditional Korean dresses called HanBok in the movie Untold Scandal.Fashion is becoming an important method in pursuing success. Recently, fashions of the movies are being enacted in the real world. In award nights such as the Oscarstry and people's various wants make that the role of costume is not only visual effect but conveyance of character's image, expression of movie's symbolic meaning and social background.We can classify function of movie costume.a. Historical / Periodic function- The movie has space and time, and it is a media for delivery culture feature.The costume show us special custom, surrounding ,the phases of the times andeven racial characteristics.b. Symbolic function- Through the cloth actor wear reveal actor's emotion change, will or periodicvalues. In class society, the cloth was added critical role and became a symbol ofclasses or a level.c. Fashion creative function- Before movie appear, common people could contact high society fashion throughnewspapers, magazines and post card. Early movie showed luxurious clothes,costume is beginning to represent an increasing share of the movie. People flockedinto theater for not only story of film but new fashion of actors and actresses.d.
