2014 학년도 (2)학기 과제물 (온라인제출용)교과목명 : 영어회화 1학 번 : 201437-345516성 명 : 이민정_________________________________________________________________________o 과제유형 : ( 공통 ) 형o 과 제 명 : 영어회화 1 TV 강의 중 8과 (Pronunciation problem) 와 9과 (Tips for studying)를 시청하고, 영어 원고와 본인의 사진 자료를 제출한다.1) 관련 주제 즉, 영어회화 공부와 관련하여 자신이 저지른 실수나, 본인이나 주변 사람들이 함께 모여서 겪었던 재미있는 내용 글을 A4 용지 2장 내외로 영어(English ONLY)로 작문한 후, 이 원고를 제출한다.2) 본인의 영어 원고와 관련하여, 본인이 혼자 혹은 친구나 선생님과 영어 공부하는 모습을 찍은 사진 2장을 (A4용지 1장당 2개의 사진 삽입, 총 1장) 본인 영어 발표 자료와 함께 제출한다.영어회화 공부와 관련하여 자신이 저지른 실수나, 본인이나 주변 사람들이 함께 모여서 겪었던 재미있는 내용 작문In 2009, I had an opportunity in attending training program in L.A., USA program as a language course for 4 weeks. the training program consist of nursing and nutrition for 3 weeks and study English conversation for 1 week.For 3 weeks, start 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in weekdays, the professor whose major is nutrition, give a lecture on nursing and nutrition. my English professor makes simultaneous interpretation with earphones, we can understand a lecture for easily.One day, my English professor is sick, so she can’t attend a lecture. so we try to understand the professor’s lecture through hearing and eyesight. Thesubject of the lecture is Carbohydrate, suddenly hearing is possible. then, Maybe the training of English hearing for 3 weeks can possible in English hearing, it makes me possible in hearing the professor’s lesson.After finishing the lecture for 3 weeks, For the last 1 week we spend time in free talking and becoming intimate with classmates who are come from India, Canada, Philippine etc.among the classmates Melissa who is a teacher in Canada, is talking about variety of the individual culture and give an example as follows;An tribe in India, parent are dead, their children as meaning of mourning and sadness to spit on the parent’s grave.then I said “that’s rude manner in my country. how could they do that?” my professor was surprised at my comment and she said “Rosa, how can you understand Melissa’s talking? your English is improved a lot during only one month!”since then I have confidence in English, I try to come closer to Melissa and Melissa said “If you pay your attention in pronunciation, you can have good commend of English”For your information, Rosa, my christian name.My confidence in English take me to the coffee shop, STARBUCKS. the coffee shop located at 30 minutes walking distance for the center we stay. at the coffee shop, I start my English with “Excuse me” and I order “one caramel makiyaddo size large” but my English still poor, the clerk do not understand my English. she said “sorry? I can’t understand what you said”Several times, i’m trying to order caramel macchiato but finally failed.At last I can order Americano instead of caramel macchiato due to my frustration at STARBUCKS, I Comprehend in Speaking and hearing of English, accent and pronunciation.Between two photos attached below, the first photo is taken during the professor’s lecture time, the second one is taken with Melissa and her husband.After completion of this training course in U.S.A., practice of English conversation in language course for 4 weeks in U.S.A. open my eyes and ears and as a result, it is very helpful and useful to me.
