[한글 영작][정치학] 영화 MILK 를 본 후에 느낀 정치학의 관한 감상문

Milk by Gus Van Sant: 영화을 본 감상에 대한 (한글판, 영문판)어느 사회에서 소수자로 산다는 것은 쉽지 않다. 소수자를 기득권의 반대편에 서서 항상 자신에게 쏟아지는 스트레스를 받아가며 지탱하는 하나의 무리라고 본다면, 이 땅에는 소수자를 위한 여유의 공간은 없다고 할 수 있다.누구든 태어나서부터 소수자가 되길 원하겠냐 라고 반문할 수 있다. 살다 보니 어느 틈엔가 주류가 되지 못한 사람들, 다행히도 주변에 자신의 처지와 비슷한 사람이 존재함을 알게 되고 함께 뭉쳐 소리를 내어보지만, 늘 힘을 가진 사람들에게는 백안시되곤 한다.우린, 나는 소수자가 아니다라고 말할 수 있지만, 소수자는 단 한 부류만을 놓고 지칭하지 않는다. 영화에서는 성적 소수자의 이야기를 다루고 있지만, 학력의 끈이 짧은 사람, 종교적으로, 직업을 갖지 못한 사람, 혹은 소유하고 있는 경제력이 없는 사람 등도 모두가 소수자의 범주 안에 있다.영화 ‘밀크’는 1960년대에서 70년대 활약했던 미국의 정치인 하비 밀크의 마지막 인생궤적을 따라간다. 그는 성적 소수자다. 영화는 하비 밀크를 중심으로 성적 소수자들의 외침을 다루고 있다. 다수에 맞서 소수의 의견을 관철시키기 위해 분투하는 내용의 이 영화는 민주주의에서 소수의 의견은 다수의 의견과 같이 존중되어야 한다고 말한다. 다수의 의견이 항상 옳은 것은 아니며, 소수의 의견이 무시됨으로서 개인의 인권이 침해를 받을 수 있으며, 사회의 구성원은 적어도 어느 한 부분에서 모두가 소수가 될 수 있기 때문이다.In a certain society, it is not easy to live as a minority. The movie is dealing with outcries of sexual minorities focusing on Harvey Milk. The movie concerning struggles of sexual minorities to carry their opinion against the majorities says “In Democratic political field, opinions of minority should be respected like that of majority." The film helped to make people aware of the obstacles Milk had to overcome and not just him but the whole gay community he proposed marches and protest to show that they were like the rest and that they didn’t deserve to be discriminated.2. Another way Mr. Milk was able to help was by joining the city council in San Francisco to fight for the gay community and their rights he helped teachers and others not to lose their jobs just because of their sexual orientation.3. Finally he helped out the gay community by teaching them that there was nothing wrong with them and that they should come out and not be afraid of what their sexual o would try to get them removed. He then got people together and mange to keep his shop and help the gay community.2. Another scene from the movie is when Harvey was in the city council and he wanted people to vote no on Prop. 6 because people were been discriminated at their jobs just because they were gay. People were losing their jobs because others would say that they were teaching the kids their bad ways and Milk was fighting for justice that their sexual orientation doesn’t affect anybody’s job and how they perform at their job.3. Finally in a scene while Milk’s campaign was going on he had a group meeting with his followers and he encouraged them if they have not come out to their family and friends that now was the time and not to be afraid that they would be loved by their family.: 1. Instructor interviewI interviewed my computer class professor, Ruth. She teaches about Micro soft programs such as Windows7, Word and Internet explorer. I thought I’m used to using computer but she teaches me more various skills for computer. Also, she is very funny so, my class has a free discussion about computer studying. She is old but she has a big passion like young man. I respect her passion so I want to interview her this time.She was the most athletic student in women’s small, private liberal arts Jr. College in NH when she was a freshman. She beat her Phys Ed teachers in French Foil fencing and in Badminton. She also skied and played tennis. In additional, her favorite subjects are math classes and learning about computers and programming. She studied BASIC programming, which she learnt later was developed at Dartmouth in NH. Her college shared a time-sharing computer system with Dartmouth, and I sometimes went there to get more programming time. I asked “when did you decide to be a teacher and why?” she answered “I fell into teaching”. Actually, she never had a goal to be a teacher. When she lost her engineering job after the Challenger exploded in 1986, she felt that she was "called" to be a teacher.She learned many things at schools. She wanted to major in math or engineering, but the school in NH didn't have engineering or much math, so she ended up in social science. She transferred to a 4-year university in RI, where she receives a degree in Sociology. She went back for a Masters in Management/CIT discipline 20 years after getting hers undergraduate degree. She likes Interacting with the students and motivating them so that they want to learn. Also, she likes it least when she gets huge classes where she can't give one-on-one attention very well. She has a philosophy of teaching. She tries to show every student that she cares about their learning experience and that they do well. I agree it. She is very helpful for class.I wonder what she has a plan in the future. She said that “To never stop learning. If I continue to teach, I'll be learning a lot!” and she'd like to dive the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.For the interview, I could know about her plan and passion again. she is awesome!!

Rich merchant has three sons and three daughters. Two older daughters are jealous the youngest daughter who is called beauty because she is so beautiful but also kind. One day, the rich merchant fails his business so, his two older daughters complain all day. However, the beauty helps house work alone. Two selfish daughters want expensive gift when the merchant leaves to earn money. In contrast, beauty wants only rose. But he fail his business again and lost way. Barely, he finds a castle which has good food and bed. He sleeps there. In the morning, he sees a rose in the garden. He remaind beauty’s gift so, he takes the rose. Then, the beast comes out in front him and is angry. The merchant promises with the beast to bring his daughter here and he can come back home. two daughters blame beauty when they listen father’s story. However, beauty decides to go to the castle with father. Finally, she stays alone in the castle and she feels scary for beast. After while, she doesn’t feel scary because the beast is kind and they are talking every dinner. But, beauty doesn’t accept his propose for marriage.One day, beauty watches magic mirror, it shows her father is sick because he thinks beauty die. She promises that she will visit her father for a week with beast. Two sisters hate beauty because she looks more beautiful and wear good dress. So, they make plan that beauty can’t come back to the castle after a week to stimulus the beast. Beauty forgets the promise and stays over a week. Suddenly, she remind the promise with beast and realize she loves him. so, she comes back to the castle. But, the beast is dying. She confess love to beast and the beast change to prince. The story tells that You should not judge people by the way they look. Also, kind people are blessed at last.

Baby Day PaperIntroductionThe infant I have observed had dark blonde hair and wore popular animation character costume. He was born in September 15, 2010 and will be 3 years old soon. He is only child. For the purposes of confidentiality, the name of this infant has been changed to Joseph Gordon-Levitt.Weight and length at birth : 8Lb, ,20 ½ inchesCurrent weight and length : 41Lb, 40 inchesBreast breeding : 18monthLanguage : Spanish and EnglishReaction to peopleWhen Joseph entered the room and started to play with the toys that were middle of the room, he didn’t have sign of stranger anxiety. According to professor McGrath, stranger anxiety occur depending o the baby’s past experience, temperament, and the current situation. Joseph seems to be a very relaxed child with very low attention on who is looking at him or how the current environment is. Even though, he didn’t care others, he just played and told with his mother when professor said us so loudly.Joseph seemed to have no interesround him. He would concentrate on one toy, and then go find another toy, and another. An interesting sight that I have observed was, Joseph constantly looked at his mother whenever he would find a new toy to play with. Whenever he found new toys to play with, he engaged in social referencing, evaluating the object in terms of safety and deciding whether or not to play with the toy depending on how the adult reacts. As described in the text, social referencing occurs when infants start to evaluate unfamiliar objects in terms of their safety, and security. So when the mother gave Joseph a smile, he continued playing with the new toy, knowing that it is safe and good to play with.Generally, Joseph is active child so, he walked all around the carpet looking for every toy he can find. Even though, he wanted to get other babies’ toy too. Basically, he thinks “All toys is mine”. So, he tried to get other babies’ toy but he looked shy in front of the other babies. However, he can speak to othk was able to be grasped, not bounced or squeezed. The textbook explains that according to Gibsons, perception is guided by the discovery of affordances-the action possibilities that a situation offers an organism with certain motor capabilities. It was evident that Joseph has mastered all the motor capabilities and that by his sense of experience, he understands all the properties of the objects.Any other case, younger child, she is younger than Joseph in the class, did not master the capabilities of his motor senses. As I was observing, I saw an interesting act that the younger child was performing. She picked up a ball on the carpet and started to grasp, squeeze and bite it. After that, she was looking around the classroom and went to any student and gave the ball to the student. When the student bounced the ball and threw the ball on the ground, she did the same and looked happy. As described in the video, “The Discoveries of Infancy”, she used the student as a tool to understand tay with a toy, he did not last long with one specific toy. He would play with one toy, look at another, put down the toy currently playing with and play with that other toy he sees. It is visible that he has gotten bored of what he was playing with, so he looks for other toys to play with. When a new toy is picked from his hands, he gains interest, which is a sign of recovery.Hidden ObjectsAlthough Joseph has not been tested on hidden objects, a younger infant has been tested. As I observed one student and the infant, it was funny and interesting simultaneously. When the student was holding a ball in front of the infant, she started to gain interest in it. Right when the baby is getting interested, the student puts it on his back and the infant immediately reacted with embarrass. However, when brought back in front of her, she was happy to see it again.As professor McGrath has mentioned in her lecture, the hidden object observation was first tested by Piaget’s. His cognitive developmenility, biological roots, and interaction with child-rearing experiences. When I saw Joseph’s mother, it made total sense of why Joseph was active and smiled well. His mother, a sweet lady with a big smile, always told Joseph “Good job!”. Joseph looked similar with his mother.LanguageHis ethnicity is English/Spanish but he spoke to his mother in English language. I recorded in my notes of his saying “Catch it” to his mother. He used a technique called telegraphic speech which describes in the textbook, uses two-word utterances joining 2 words to communicate. Because he can’t make a whole sentence like “this is my truck” or “this truck is mine,” He can speak whole sentences when his mother speaks slowly but usually he can’t. He focuses on the high-content words and omits lesser important ones such as conjunctions and prepositions.Joseph had no difficulties communicating with his mother whatsoever. [영문학][한글_영작] 남성 중심의 사회가 만든 리어왕의 비극

남성 중심의 사회가 만든 리어왕의 비극셰익스피어의 4대 비극중의 하나인 리어왕은, 왕 리어가 순간의 어리석음으로 겪게 되는 시련을 통해 진실과 대면하고 인정하기까지의 고통을 담고 있는 내용이다. 아버지인 리어왕과 그의 세 딸들과의 관계와 갈등은 인간의 본질적 욕망과 어리석음을 보여준다. 나는 리어왕이 딸들에게 자신을 사랑하는 만큼 재산을 분배해주는 1막 1장을 선택하여 아리스토텔레스의 시학의 6개의 요소의 관점으로 분석해보려고 한다.1막 1장에서는 리어왕이 딸들에게 재산과 권력을 상속하는 이야기가 시작된다. 아버지에게 상속을 받기위해, 거짓 칭송을 하는 리간과 고너릴 진실을 말하고 리어로부터 내쳐지는 코딜리아의 모습이 보여 진다. 내 생각에 이 장면은 리어왕이 살고 있는 세계는 남성 중심, 가부장적 전통과 관습을 갖고있다는 것을 가장 단적으로 보여준다. 또한, 그의 자기 중심적인 성격과 세 딸들의 성격을 단적으로 보여줌으로써 앞으로 리어왕이 겪을 비극을 예고하기 때문에 인상깊었다.나는 아리스토텔레스가 말한 시학의 6가지의 요소들을 통해 리어왕에서 이 장면이 갖는 의미에 대해 살펴보았다. 첫번째 요소로 플롯이 있다. 아리스토텔레스는 하나의 중심플롯이 사건을 이끌어간다고 하였다. 연극 리어왕은 이중플롯의 구조를 갖고 있는데, 이 장면은 왕 리어를 중심으로 세 딸들의 이야기가 그려지는 중심플롯에 속한다. 서브 플롯으로는, 글로스터 백작과 그 아들들의 이야기가 진행된다. 진실 되지 못한 딸들의 말에 어리석게 속아, 모든 것을 잃은 리어처럼, 글로스터 역시 서자 에드먼드의 간교한 계략에 속아 모든 것을 잃게 된다. 그 외에도, 리어의 딸들과 에드먼드 사이에 치정관계 , 쫓기는 에드거와 리어왕의 만남 같은 장면을 통해 메인 플롯과 서브 플롯은 탄탄한 연결들이 인물과 인물 사이를 팽팽하고 긴장된 플롯을 극 전반에 유지하고 있다.각기 다른 두 플롯이 서로 교차할 때 만들어지는 주제 전달의 힘은 크다고 생각한다. 예를들어, 한순간의 어리석음으로 코델리아를 내쫓은 리어왕과 아버 권위에 대한 표현이라고 보인다. 하지만 리어왕이 시련을 겪은 후, 리어의 언어는 변화한다. “자 여기 이 단추를 끌러다오”Come, unbutton here”(76) 에서 “pray you, undo this button thank you , sir.”(141) 로 변한다.그 당시 공연을 통해서도 남성 중심의 사회를 알수 있다. 그 당시 남성들만 연극을 할 수 있었다. 그래서 변성기가 오지않은 남성들이 여성으로 분장하였다. 여성이 극장 무대에 선다는 것은 상상할 수도 없었으며 공연 관람에도 제약이 있었다. 아리스토텔레스는 희곡의 시간과 공간의 일치에 대해 말했지만, 리어왕은 다양한 장소와 시간을 자유롭게 넘나든다. 그것은 단순한 무대세트를 사용함으로써, 관객들은 공간과 시간의 변화를 상상하는 이미지로 인식하였다.커스튬 또한, 그 당시 엘리자베스 시대의 의상은 남성과 여성의 성별을 뚜렷이 구분하는 디자인이었다. 활동적인 움직임을 위한 남성의 옷과 주로 집 안에서 정적인 생활을 하는 여성의 옷으로 구분된다. 남성은 넓어보이는 어깨를 상징하는 장식있는 자켓과, 남성성을 상징하는 코드피스라는 보호대와 같은 커스튬을 입었다. 또한, 스타킹과 같은 호즈를 신음으로써 남성적인 다리 근육이 더 강조되도록 하였으며 배부분과 엉덩이 부분도 과장되게 부푼옷을 입음으로써 남성적 권위를 나타냈다. 그에 비해, 여성은 가늘어 보이는 허리를 위한 코르셋을 착용하였으며 허리를 더욱 가늘게 보이는 부푼 치마를 입기 위해 파팅게일 이라는 치마틀을 입었다. 이것은, 여성을 더욱 여성스럽게 보이게 하는 동시에 바깥 출입보다 집 안에서의 생활을 강조한 디자인이다.나는 리어왕의 권력이 만든 어리석은 선택이 얼마나 큰 비극적 결말을 갖고 왔는지 시학의 여러 요소들을 통해 보았다. 시학의 요소들은 이야기를 구성하는데 큰 역할을 하였다. 특히, 리어왕에서 메인플롯과 서브플롯 중에 어느 한 지점이라도 제외 된다면, 이야기의 통일성이 무너졌을 것이다. 복잡한 플롯 구조를 통해 이야기는 더 흥미로워지고, 주ch Edmund and King Lear's two older daughters display an affair-like relationship, during which they encounter of King Lear and Edgar. Such events allow the central plot and the sub plot to make greater tension in the play.In my opinion, there is a great power of delivery of information about the subject when the central plot and the sub plot cross each other. For example, in Act 3 Scene 4, King Lear becomes crazy after undergoing physical and mental pain from his two older daughters whi had by then cruelly neglected the then helpless King. Then, he meets Edgar who is pretending to be a crazy person to avoid Gloucester’s anger. Finally, Lear realizes and confesses to his own stupididity after this surprising and ironic meeting. This event with the main sub-plot character actually becomes the trigger for the makes main character to change and pull the story towards its resolve. Aristotle says that for a story to become the greatest tragedy, the plot must be simple rather than twisted an However, the shallow and prideful Lear misunderstands Cordelia and replies "Nothing will come of nothing" (6). He shows a high-handed attitude for trying to hear praise from her on the pretext of the dowry. In the end, she does not give the answer that Lear wants, and angry, he gives her dower to the other daughters. Also, he even goes on to say "better thou, Hadst not been born than not t'have pleased me better" (12). This statement shows that he thinks daughters are born to please him with flattery and is a kind of a possession, not equal people with their own rights to love who they please.In addition, Lear says to the Duke of Burgundy “ …her price is fallen……she’s there, and she is yours” (11) in which King Lear treats his daughter as products or possessions, the image resembling that of buying and selling of slaves in the slave market. This scene also is reflects the society's generaxed thought that women are part of men’ possessions, There is no human rights and opinion of Corde conversations with his daughters are in the imperative form. This type of language use is a representation of the authority of the father in particular. However, after King Lear experiences the trial of his evil daughters, his language changes. The change from “Come, unbutton here"(76) to "pray you, undo this button thank you, sir.”(141) . This change in language signifies that his character had changed.The performance of this play also showed how male-dominated the society the play was written in also was. At that time, only men were allowed to take part in playing the roles in theatres. So men dressed as a woman to play the female roles. The wimen were also limited in viewing performances as well. It could not be imagined that women would take the stage in the theater at the time. Aristotle commented about the match of time and space of the drama. To me, King Lear, in terms of its male-centered aespects and the carefully composed portrayal of humanity can be applied freely in variou.
