I think all French people already knew very well about this secret. French people know what they really like to eat and how to enjoy eating. They like to eat bread, and cheese. And they have their own way eating at a restaurant and on Sunday morning. After observing what French people eat in daily life, I’d like to define French people as someone who eats baguette, croissant, and cheese. If Korean people eat rice almost all the time, French people always eat baguette. According to statistics, 32 million cup of coffee in the morning. For me it’s too little for breakfast. After eating croissant I’m still hungry. You’ll see a lot of cheese in France. When it comes to cheese consumption, France is the number one. The French eat on average 15,9 kilograms of cheese per year. Other statistics show that 96% of the French people like cheese; half of them eat it on a daily basis. In my experience, my French friend who lived in Korea for long time missed cheese the most. Maybe they are addicted to cheese. They do cuisine with cheese or eat cheese with jam, bread, crepes, wine, in variety. The most popular varieties are Emmental cheese and Camembert cheese. I fell in love with raclette cheese which is cooked with potatoes and bacons.French people know how to enjoy their meal at a restaurant. They eat with time and slowly. There are three courses: entrée(appetizer)-plat(main dish)-dessert. It takes long time almost 2 hours to eat. That’s why they have two hours lunch break. They eat a little bit ofng meal with sweet dessert. One of my friend said that she can ignore entrée but she cannot give up dessert. They always respect this course. Also, they respect servers as well. They always wait for the servers politely rather than call them. Everything is like a ritual. That’s why French cuisine has been declared a “world intangible heritage” by UNESCO.They really love very long Sunday lunch. Sometimes, I used to be invited to Sunday lunch from my friends. They invite a lot of people, cook together, eat and talk together almost for 4 hours. The course is much longer than restaurant even though it’s not a luxury event. They eat with this order: Aperitif-entrée-plat-fromage(cheese)-dessert-digestif-vintage wine. Maybe one or two course can be removed but anyway it’s still a lot. I said it’s too much but they said that it’s too usual for them so they couldn’t realize it.To sum up, the French know the importance of eating with pleasure. I think they are very serious about eating. It is a

One day, she taught me how to make Carbonara in real Italian way. Italian style carbonara is much easier than other styles. You just need to prepare two large pots, salt, a box of spaghetti, bacon or lardon, water, parmesan cheese, an egg, pepper, and other utensils. First, boil water with a lot of salt. She said that it’s never enough, we should put more salt. Once the water has come up to a boil, you can throw the spaghetti in. Typically it should cook within 7-11 minutes. While the spaghetti is being cooked, prepare sauce and bacon. Fry the bacon with a pan. Next, put a yellow part of an egg and mix with the parmesan cheese in a jar. Here, you just mix a spoon of milk. When the spaghetti is done, remove water and pour a little bit of oil in the spaghetti from the pan and mix it. Finally, you mix the sauce and bacon you already prepared with spaghetti. You just put a little bit more of cheese and pepper if you need. Voila! It’s done!My Cosy HomeI have spent my recent years in university at a dormitory which is located in Gangseo-gu, Magok station, line 5. This dormitory is offered by government, and where students who are from Jeollanam-do can stay. Once you entered the entrance, there are two ways, left side is for girls and right side is for boys. On the first floor, there are security room, delivery room, post box, etc. Below the first room, there are the office, gym, cafeteria, etc. On the second floor, there are study rooms, a small library, a computer room, but I hardly see someone uses. My room is on the 5th floor among 7 floors. At the corridor, there is a room for laundry, water and fridge, but there isn’t a kitchen. When I put the code at the door lock, I enter my room. I can see a white cabinet for shoes, a bathroom on the right side, a shower room on the left side. In front of me, there are two doors again. Left room is mine and right room is for my roommate. In my room, I just have a single bed, a desk, a closet, an air-conditioner, some books, a flute which I never plays, a big squared window with blind curtain. I don’t have many stuff. It’s a very small and simple room but for me it’s the most comfortable place in the world.
Last weekend, Paju book city had a seminar where famous figures attended. They all insisted that more and more people don’t read books. And it is a serious crisis of books. According to Statista, an average of daily spent reading is 0.33 hours in the US. This result is very significant. So, I would like to persuade my audience to read more books. There are a lot of fun things nowadays. If the situation accelerates, books might disappear in the future.
