Four Weddings and a FuneralRomantic comedy is my favorite genre along with the musical genre. For these kinds of movies have magic power to make me want to love. As Hugh Grant is always featuring as an ideal English man who is gentle, humble, lovely and even romantic, in his movie, I feel as if I loved with him while watching it. That’s why I used to watch movies whose main actor is Hugh Grant among the rom-coms, especially. I am not alone in this thought. Everyone may think just like me. In this movie, I’d like to focus on allusion which is attained by repeating similar plots and giving delicate difference in them.Genre: Romantic ComedyAs you can see, romantic comedy is a combined term of romance and comedy. For this reason, the harmony of the romance genre and comedy genre is the most essential thing in the movie. As concerning about romance, they have to deal with a love story. In the middle of the plot, there must be many problems which lead them to have some trouble. And then finalbehind someone’s back between Charles’s ex-girlfriends, Hen called ‘duck face’, Gerald’s wedding ceremony... All of these things are ingredients for making the movie more comical.Narrative Convention & Stereo TypeNarrative ConventionMistakes at the important moment are one of narrative conventions in the comedy genre. For example, Charles gave bride and groom heart shape and skeleton shape rings which didn’t right for wedding. The other thing is Gerald’s officiating at the wedding. Although wedding ceremony is regarded as must being taken in solemn ambience, Gerald totally change all of things because of his full of silly mistakes.Let’s go on to narrative convention of the romance genre. First is repetitive meeting. In this movie, Carrie and Charles always meet at every wedding. Then they are to encounter alternated destiny. It turns out that Carrie already has a fiancé although Charles still loves her. But their love is achieved eventually by decelerating of their love each other. Thete differences in themIn this move, it gives us lots of allusion about the story by various mise-en-scenes or some plots. In particularly, repeating is the clearest allusion, which shows itself in the title ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’. That is the very subject material, ‘wedding’‘. This material implies love story which is to be occurred in wedding by repeating it four times. Also, there are repetitive plots in each of the wedding scenes. The first one is being late for weddings because of oversleeping. This represents not only as being able to raise audiences’ laugh, this kind of scene can be leavened with humor, but also they give a hint for what is going to happen. This technique lets the audience become familiar with the plots and know what’ll happen next, too.The second wedding scene also starts with Charles and Scarlett’s being late. In addition, Charles appearing wearing the same clothes as before. This represents a clue that Charles will meet Carrie again like the first weddi bride and groom did. Sure enough, Charles has a crush on Carrie and their true love is just beginning. However in the second wedding, Charles came to the wedding without wearing a flower on his chest at the beginning of the ceremony. Besides, Carrie wears different clothes while Charles wears the same suit. In this sense, we can notice the fact that she isn’t the same person we used to be while love of Charles doesn’t change so far. Eventually, it turns out that she has a fiancé.Also in the scene that Carrie and Charles have sex, there are also plenty of differences. In the first sex scene, all the props including curtain, bedding, and pattern of a pot are designed with colorful flower pattern and the flowers in the vain are in full bloom with pink color. But the second sex scene is much different from the first one. Only curtain in the room has a faint flower pattern and the flowers are arranged in the plain vain failing to bloom. This suggests that His love for her seems hopeless.Thare all composed of red. Red can be interpreted as ‘passion’ and ‘jealousy’. In other words, that kind of feeling can easily go away and disappear. So it is possible for us to guess Carrie’s married life won’t last forever. Another interpretation of the red is ‘jealousy.’ That color represents what he feels about her wedding. That means it connotes the situation and his feeling that No matter how he’s hard to just look at Carrie’s wedding, he can’t but to just stand it feeling a sense of jealousy to who are marrying Carrie. The fourth wedding is Charles’. And the representative color of his wedding is yellow. Yellow has meaning of ‘hope’. We

Ⅰ. Introduction If you just look around Korea University campus, you can see lots of foreigners. Also outside of the campus, you'll be surprised at how many foreigners there are in Korea. The more developed transportation and technology have become, the more globalized our society has grown. That means things are not what they used to be. Because there are plenty of opportunities and scholarships which subsidize people who have difficulty to go abroad, we can go everywhere we want without concerning ourselves with money or transportation problems.
Most People in every country around teenage single moms are critical of them and that would be the difficulty the teenage single moms face first when they become a mother. Sure, a moment's wrong decision leads them to this situation, but there is no doubt that making a decision to have babies and raise them is the most courageous act in the world. So I just think that the social stigma will only make them isolated from our society.Because they couldn't live a normal life just like any student, the social exclusion can be another factor that makes their life more in difficulties.
