1. Select one article and write a response journal in which you? give a brief summary of the article with your own response to the article.Why Bilinguals Are SmarterAn article showed that speaking two languages rather than just one has obvious practical benefits in an increasingly globalized world. In the 20th century, a view of bilingualism is different. It was regarded as an ‘interference’ that hindered child’s academic and intellectual development by introducing ample evidence that one system obstructs the other. However, recent researches show that its interference is not so much a handicap as a blessing in disguise. The advantages of bilingualism are even more fundamental than simply being able to converse with a wider range of people. Bilinguals can be smarter, improving the brain executive functions such as cognitive skills and shielding against the onset of dementia. For instance, they are adept at solving many kinds of demanding mental puzzles with a quicker task performing. A their verbal and non-verbal instructions.To be sure, I am somewhat skeptical about the bilingualism. However, if the ‘process’ of mastering a bilingualism is stable and systematic, I can fully agree on the need for the bilingualism. In particular, the blindness of the bilingualism is noticeable in an clumsy early-education in which parents want their young children to be a bilingualism. When I encountered a situation where my aunt eagerly tried to teach her child English, he was hesitating in expressing his thoughts or feelings in either language and seemed to be lack of confidence. I heard that bilinguals often tend to experience the condition which is so-called ‘Half-Language’ It appears temporarily during development when the more reluctant the native language, who was proficient in learning the second one is, the more vulnerable both languages become. So, to maintain a native language depends on our attitude toward it and attachment to it.Rather than trying unconditionally to be ibilingual language. Just sitting in front of screen such as Youtube and Netflix is an inappropriate way as it can create the illusion that we can easily learn a language through what we are interested in. Because language in this process is just a means to understand the situation, the direction of concentration can be disorganized every moment and finally we can not learn any phrase or word. If you continue to think about which education is most effective in the long term without losing focus, we will be able to enjoy practical benefits throughout your life with the brain developed by using bilingualism.2. As every media do not always show the truth and righteousness, we require an analytic objectificat It is moving from just understanding the text, expressing their present state of mind to even cultivating the ability to show their ‘identity’ by producing video or using any other media.In addition, social media entice and give a chance to everyone, who rarely expresses themselves and intimidated, through an environment in which everyone can produce an equal voice. Under the anonymity of the Internet, every user’s SNS is both a private space and a public. Anything that uploaded even when we wrote about our mind in daily life like a diary in an open online space is all about thinking and writing the reader. The smaller the media is, the more likely it is to overlook its influence. This is because they underestimate that communication on a small digital platform does not have enough impact on the political and social context, so they can avoid or become passive, dismissing it as personal opinions.
