1-1 ) Phytoremediation의 정의
식물을 의미하는 phyto라는 접두어와
치료, 복원의 remediation을 결합해 만든 신조어.
식물이 오염물질을 다량 흡수해 비독성 대사물질로 변환시켜
체내에 축적하고 증산작용으로 배출할 수 있는 능력을
이용하는 기술을 총칭.
식물의 뿌리와 잎을 통한 흡수과정을 통해 오염물질을 생분해해
정화하고 오염지를 복원하는 종합적 회복기술을 의미.
