多寶塔의 경전적인 건립시점 고찰 - 多寶塔과 法華思想의 의미구현을 중심으로 - (A Consideration on Scriptural Establishment Point of Dabotab - Centering on significant realization of Lotus Idea and Dabotab -)

초록

Dabotab is a typical exotic stone tower of Korea and the unique stone pagoda in the world based on 「Gyeonbotabpum」. But, because of its exotic character, the understanding of Dabotab is not so simple. Therefore, the consideration about it on the basis of scriptural rites has an important meaning. Through this, we can comprehend the implication of Dabotab more clearly.
Furthermore, this process can give us clearer concept on the establishment time of Dabotab. The hint for the comprehension of its establishment point lies in the position of the tower. When its interpretation is connected with 8-direction Geumgang sites the tower stones of Seokgatab, we can secure the clear concept on the establishment point of Seokgatab and Dabotab. The point found through it was when Sakyamuni summoned his alter-ego Buddhas and thus the Sabhā world itself became the Buddhist Land.
Beside it, in some aspect, the establishment point of Seokgatab and Dabotab can be comprehended through the whole architectural structure of Bulguksa. So, this paper is to check the connectivity between the establishment point of Seokgatab & Dabotab and 'the Buddhist Land' the ideal value that Bulguksa was pursuing. It is to review the agreement between the special feature for the establishment point of Seokgatab & Dabotab and the general architectural theory of Bulguksa. With this, we can get to clearer understanding on the establishment point of Seokgatab & Dabotab.
Bulguksa was an aesthetic expression of Unified Sila built to sublimate the phenomenological discrimination into the substantial indiscrimination through the Buddhist ideal realm of 'Buddhist Land'. By clarifying the establishment point of Seokgatab & Dabotab, we can derive the plain recognition about the fact that there were not only the formerly-considered Avatamska Buddhist Land but also the Lotus Buddhist Land. This paper has a great significance in that it not just settles the establishment point of Seokgatab & Dabotab but presents the whole architectural intention of Bulguksa.
