사회적기업 지체장애근로인의 직업생활에 관한 질적 연구 (A Qualitative Study on the Occupational Lives of Workers with Physical Disabilities at a Social Enterprise)

초록

연구는 사회적기업에서 근무하고 있는 지체장애인의 직업생활 경험에 관한 진술을 통해 직업생활에 미치는 영향을 이해하고 그 의미를 탐구하기 위한 연구이다. 이러한 연구 목적에 따라 S사회적기업의 지체장애인을 대상으로 참여관찰과 심층면담을 통해 자료를 수집, 분석하였다. 참여자의 진술에서 의미 있는 진술에서 23개의 하위주제를 선정하였고 이를 다시 통합하여 7개의 주제 및 3개의 범주로 조직하였다. 첫째, 개인 차원의 범주에는 직업생활에 관한 인식에 영향을 미치는 긍정적 요인과 부정적 요인을 탐색하였다. 둘째, 가정과 학교 차원의 범주에는 직업생활 인식에 영향을 미치는 가족과 학교교육 관련 요인들이 도출되었다. 셋째, 사회 환경 차원의 범주에는 사회적기업, 법과 정책, 문화와 사회 인식이 지체장애인의 직업생활 인식에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 논의에서는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 지체장애인들의 직업생활을 이해하고, 사회적기업 안에서 지체장애인의 안정적인 직업생활을 위해 고려되어야 할 요소를 찾고 그에 맞는 지원방안에 관해 논의하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to find out the factors to be considered to allow people with disabilities to work stably and propose the direction of such support, by looking at the occupational lives of these people currently working in social enterprises employing people with disabilities from their perspective. This study was conducted in the social enterprise S authorized by the S vocational rehabilitation. Data related with the subjects have been collected from the individual depth interview and participant observation. These 23 units have been integrated into 7 sub-themes, and again categorized into three components. First, “awareness on the occupation of people with disabilities” show that people with disabilities considered occupation as a breakthrough that enables them to be part of society and communicate with other society members. some difficulties caused by their disabilities affect negatively the occupational awareness. Second, factors related to "family" and "school education" influenced occupational awareness. Third, “social enterprise,” was helping them to hone their occupational abilities and considered their traits in comparison to other jobs. “law and policy,” showed that the policies helping these people in a national level were myopic, and disturbed them from being independent members in the society. Such kind of environment was a negative factor in the occupational awareness, but it proved to be also positive because it helped them expand their sphere of thinking by forming a community and understanding the “cultural and ideological difference.” In the discussion section, We were proposed the factors to be considered for the stable occupational lives of the physical disabilities and the support plans in the social enterprise.
