유아를 위한 가정연계 긍정훈육 프로그램 개발 및 효과 (Developing and applying a family-connected positive discipline program for young children)

초록

본 연구는 유아를 위한 가정연계 긍정훈육 프로그램을 개발하여 적용함으로서 유아의 사회적 유능감과 행복감에 미치는 효과를 알아본 것이다. 이를 통해 유치원과 가정에서 발생하는 훈육문제를 긍정적으로 해결하는 방안을 마련하고, 긍정훈육에 대한 교사와 부모의 인식의 변화는 물론 좀 더 체계적인 훈육방안에 대한 기초자료를 제공하는 것이 목적이다. 연구의 대상은 강원도 S시에 위치한 N유치원의 만 5세 유아 24명을 실험집단으로, D유치원의 만 5세 유아 24명을 비교집단으로 선정하였다. 검사도구는 유아의 사회적 유능감 평가척도와 유아행복척도를 사용하였다. 연구결과 유아의 사회적 유능감과 유아의 행복감에 대해 실험집단과 비교집단 간에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서 개발된 유아를 위한 가정연계 긍정훈육 프로그램은 유아들의 사회적 유능감과 행복감을 증진시키는데 효과적이라고 할 수 있다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to develop a family-connected positive discipline program for young children and apply it to five-year-old children to analyze its effects. To attain the goal, these authors conducted research to develop the program and then investigate its effects. The positive discipline program for young children in conjunction with their homes was established through various steps of status and needs analysis, literature research, topic development, and pre-research. The study was carried out on 48 infants and toddlers in an N and D nursery in Gangwondo to investigate the effect on their social competency and happiness after the positive discipline program. The tools used for the positive discipline prohgram for infants and toddlers were Assessment of Social Competence of Teachers and the Early Childhood Happiness Scale. Covariance analysis(ANCOVA) was used for data analysis, and the SPSS 21.0 analysis program was used. First, according to the result of analyzing the effects of the family-connected positive discipline program for young children on children’s social competency, the total score of social competency and the scores of its subfactors, emotional control and emotionality, peer relation skills, and understanding of social norms, were found to be significantly more improved in the experimental group than the comparative group. Second, according to the result of analyzing the effects of the family-connected positive discipline program for young children on children’s happiness, the total score of children’s happiness and the scores of its sub-factors, parent relation, teacher relation, peer relation, awareness and achievement, immersion, spirituality, emotion, health, and life satisfaction, indicated significantly more improvement in the experimental group than the comparative group.
