컴퓨터적성 측정을 위한 웹 기반 검사도구의 개발과 타당화 연구 (A Study on the Validation and the Development of Web-based Testing Instrument for Computer Aptitude Measurement)

초록

본 연구는 컴퓨터적성의 개념모형을 토대로 총 96개의 문항으로 이루어진 컴퓨터적성 검사도구를 개발하였다. 대도시와 중소도시에서 187명의 초등학교 6학년을 표본으로 추출하여 개발된 컴퓨터적성검사를 실시하였으며, 그 결과를 분석하여 문항의 양호도, 검사의 신뢰도를 추정하였다. 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석을 실시하여 구성타당도를 검증하였고, 컴퓨터학업성취도와 컴퓨터적성의 비교, 정보영재집단과 일반학생집단의 비교를 통해 준거타당도를 검증하였다. 또한, 검증된 지필식 컴퓨터적성 검사도구를 웹 기반의 컴퓨터적성 검사도구로 전환하여 효과적으로 문제를 출제하고 평가하고 결과를 제시할 수 있는 검사시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 이와 같은 과정을 통해 본 연구에서 개발한 컴퓨터적성 검사도구의 문항양호도는 적절한 것으로 나타났으며, 탐색적 요인분석에서 정보분석능력, 정보창의능력, 정보처리능력 등의 구인에 따라 설정된 소검사들이 잘 범주화되었다. 확인적 요인분석에서도 대부분의 적합지수가 적합도 평가기준을 만족하고 있다는 점에서 본 연구에서 설정한 측정모델의 타당성을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 컴퓨터적성 검사도구는 컴퓨터학업성취도에 대하여 상당한 상관과 설명력을 보여 컴퓨터교과의 학업능력을 예측하는 참고자료가 될 수 있으며, 정보영재학생들이 수학과학에서 비슷한 성취를 보이는 일반학생들 보다 검사의 모든 영역에서 높은 점수를 보이고 있다는 측면에서 초등학교 단위의 정보영재교육에서 대상학생 선발을 위한 판별도구로 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Based on the conceptual model for computer aptitude, this study developed a computer aptitude testing instrument composed of a total 96 questions.
This study performed a computer aptitude test using the developed instrument on 187 sixth grade elementary students selected from large cities and small and medium cities and, by analyzing the results, determined the suitability of the questions and the reliability of the test. this study also verified the construct validity through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, and verified criterion-related validity through comparing computer academic achievement with computer aptitude, comparing computer aptitude of a computer-gifted student group with an ordinary student group. In addition, this study transformed the validated written computer aptitude testing instrument into a Web‐based computer aptitude testing instrument, and designed and implemented a testing system that can set questions, make assessment and present the result effectively.
Through the process above, we found that questions in the developed testing instrument for computer aptitude are suitable. In addition, the exploratory factor analysis showed that small tests were well categorized according to the construct of information analytical ability, information creative ability and information processing ability, and the confirmatory factor analysis showed that most fit indexes satisfy the standards for fitness evaluation. These results suggest that the computer aptitude conceptual model and measurement model formulated in this study are valid. In addition, the computer aptitude test showed high correlation with and explanatory power for students’ computer academic achievements, so it can be used as a reference for forecasting students’ computer curriculum learning abilities. Furthermore, computer-gifted students got higher scores than ordinary students who were similar to them in academic achievements in mathematics and science. This suggests that the developed testing instrument can be used in selecting students for special computer education at individual elementary schools.
