正祖代 후반 王世子 관련 儀禮의 진행과 그 의미 (The Progression and Its Meaning of Ceremonies Involving Crown Prince in the Latter Half of the King Chongjo’s Reign)

초록

이 논문은 1800년(정조 24) 2월 2일에 진행된 왕세자 관련 의례와 그 의미를 분석하기 위해 작성되었다.
이 때 이례적으로 같은 날에 왕세자 순조의 책봉례와 함께 관례도 진행되었고, 嘉禮의 준비도 시작되었다. 같은 날, 같은 장소에서 두 가지 의식을 진행하면서 의식 절차는 간소화 되었다. 가례 절차인 세자빈 간택도 함께 진행되었는데, 정조는 김조순의 딸을 세자빈으로 낙점하였다. 그러나 정조의 사망으로 재간택까지만 진행되었다.
왕세자 순조의 책봉례와 관례는 1800년(정조 24) 2월 2일에 집복헌에서 거행되었다. 왕세자 순조의 책봉례는 장헌세자의 追崇을 위한 갑자년 구상을 실현하는 예비 단계였다. 정조는 이번 행사에서 장헌세자에 대한존재를 나타냈다. 관례와 책봉례 장소는 장헌세자가 태어난 집복헌이었고, 행사 전후에는 경모궁에 拜謁하였다. 또한 세자빈 간택에서 김조순의 딸을 택한 이유로 현륭원 전알 때 받았다는 장헌세자의 계시를 명분으로내세우는 등 장헌세자와 연관시키는 작업을 통해 갑자년 장헌세자 추숭 작업에 대비해 나갔다.
정조는 행사를 마친 다음날 대대적인 사면조치를 발표하여 罪案이 불명확한 죄인들을 풀어주었다. 정조의대화합 정책이었다. 정조는 사건의 주모자가 아닌 주변인물이거나, 확실한 증거가 없는 죄인들에 한하여 죄에서 벗어나 平人이 되도록 하였고, 이들에게 다시 왕권에 충성할 수 있는 기회를 주고자 하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning of The Installation of crown prince Sunjo held on February 2nd of 1800(Jeongjo 24). Unlike other crown princes, for crown prince Sunjo’s ritual of installation, Capping rites was performed on the same day, and wedding was prepared, too. While the two rituals were done on the same day and at the same place, the ritual procedures were simplified. Also, after the ritual of installation, Jeongjo declared decrees of amnesty exclusively to represent great unity.
Discussion over this event including the installation of a crown prince started on January 1st of 1800(Jeongjo 24). About the preparation of the event, the procedure was done through Jeongjo’se command, and it was intended to simplify the rituals. The selection of a crown princess, one of the wedding procedures, was conducted, too. Jeongjo chose Kim Jo-sun’s daughter as a crown prince, but for Jeongjo’s death, only second selection was done.
The rituals of installing crown prince Sunjo and Capping rites were held in Jipbokheon on February 2nd of 1800(Jeongjo 24). The ritual of installing crown prince Sunjo was a preliminary step to realize the conception of the year of Gapja for the Chusung of Crown Prince Jangheon.
In this event, Jeongjo revealed the presence of his father Crown Prince Jangheon. Capping rites and installation took place in Jipbokheon where Crown Prince Jangheon was born, and after the event, had an audience in Gyeongmo-gung. Also, about the reason why Kim Jo-sun’s daughter was chosen at the selection of a crown princess, the revelation of Crown Prince Jangheon gotten at the worship of Hyeonryungwon was came up with, and with the work of associating it with Crown Prince Jangheon, the Chusung of Crown Prince Jangheon in the year of Gapja was prepared.
The day after completing the ritual of installing a crown prince, Jeongjo declared decrees of amnesty exclusively and set offenders whose crime was not very clear free. It was Jeongjo’s policy of great unity. Jeongjo set offenders who were not the prime mover of a case but an extra or had no distinct evidence for the crime free from their punishment and made them ordinary people. He intended to give them a chance to be faithful to royal authority again.
