『民世安在鴻選集』의 발간 과정과 안재홍 연구의 방향성 (The Publication Process of the Minse An Jae-hong Selection and Direction of An Jae-hong Study)

The publication which released in the form of ‘complete collection’ or ‘selection,’ gathering together writings of modern figures in Korea into a systematic compilation, is innumerable. These kinds of collections are published in accordance with a series of plans from planning to editing·publishing·dissemination. In most cases, the publishing time interval between the first volume and the last volume is not so big because the publication is started after completion of editing work and composition of publication committee.
Recently, the complete collections of figures are mostly published at once. The reason for such the rapid publication, even if not having the commercial potential, is that financial problems were not became the obstacle. The works of Rhee Seung-Man and Kim Ku who evaluated as the two prominent leaders in post-liberation political situation have published at once in the form of ‘complete collection’. The former went through the editing work during four and half years while the latter during ten months. Both sides have something in common that the press leaded in sponsoring, including financial support.
The Minse An Jae-hong Selection as ‘selection’ (thereafter Selection) is unusual in taking a great deal of 20 years since the books aiming to publish ‘complete collection’ published at once. It took 18 and half years to publish the books from the first volume to the fifth volume. The fact of completing the publication in various unfavorable conditions can not explain without the willingness of principal agents who publish the Selection.
The author have traced back to the publishing process of the Selection, paying attention to taking the great deal of time of completing the Selection. There are largely five-times momentums in completing the Selection and the person prompting each momentum(Kim Bu Rye․Chun Kwan-Woo․Kim Kyung-Hee․Chung Yoon-Jae․The Minse An Jae-hong Commemoration Foundation) put considerable efforts. Their elaborations to present An Jae-hong were the big driving power of complete the Selection. This writing tries to think over the direction and intention point of An Jae-hong study through examining the publication process of the Selection.
