2015 개정 실과교육과정에 따른 실과 교과서 식생활 영역의 학습내용 분석 (An Analysis on the Learning Content in the Field of Dietary Life in the Practical Arts Textbooks According to the Practical Arts Curriculum Revised in 2015)

초록

본 연구는 2015 개정 실과교육과정에 따른 실과 교과서 식생활 영역의 학습내용을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 초등학교 5, 6학년 실과 교과서 총 12권을 분석 자료로 하여 식생활 영역의 학습 내용을 양적·질적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 식생활 영역의 구성 비율은 5학년은 전체 교과서 쪽수 대비 12.5%, 6학년은 9.5%로 집계되었다. 이것은 2011 개정 실과 교과서의 식생활 영역이 5, 6학년 모두 16%인 것과 비교해보면, 현재 교과서의 식생활 영역의 비중이 현저히 감소된 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서, 차기 교육과정에서는 초등학교 시기에 식생활교육의 필요성과 식생활 영역에서 필수적으로 이루어지는 조리 실습 활동 시간을 고려하여 식생활 영역의 비중을 늘려야 한다. 둘째, 교과서별 학습내용 분석 결과를 살펴보면, 5, 6학년 실과 교과서 모두 2015 개정 실과교육과정의 성취기준에서 제시하고 있는 학습요소들을 공통적으로 잘 반영하고 있으며, 중단원별로 도입과 활동, 기타의 내용 구성에 있어서 교과서별로 특색을 살려 약간의 차이를 보이고 있다. 특히, 5, 6학년 모두 간식 만들기나 한 그릇 음식 만들기의 조리 실습 소재 선택에 있어서는 다양한 실습의 소재로 학습 내용을 구성하였다. 하지만, 6학년의 밥을 이용한 한 그릇 음식 만들기의 경우, 일부 교과서에서는 초등학생들이 하기에 다소 어렵고 실생활에서 적용 가능성이 낮은 소재를 선정하고 있어, 앞으로 조리 실습의 소재 선정 시 초등학생들의 발달 수준이나 학교의 실습 환경 등을 고려한 신중한 선택이 필요하다.

영어초록

This study analyzed the learning content in the field of dietary life in the practical arts textbooks according to the practical arts curriculum revised in 2015. For this purpose of this analysis, the learning content in the field of dietary life was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively by utilizing a total of 12 copies of practical arts textbooks for fifth and sixth graders in elementary schools as data for analysis. First, the analysis results showed the proportion of the field of dietary life for fifth graders was 12.5% and 9.5% for sixth ones compared to the number of pages in the textbooks. Comparison of these figures with that of the field of dietary life for fifth and sixth graders, 16%, enables me to understand that the importance of dietary life in the present textbooks has been reduced remarkably. Therefore, in consideration of the necessity of the dietary education in elementary schools and the amount of time for cooking practices carried out essentially in the field of dietary life, its importance should be increased. Second, the analysis results of learning content in each textbook show the elements of learning content suggested by the achievement standards of the practical arts curriculum revised in 2015 are well reflected in all of the practical arts textbooks for fifth and sixth graders and a slight difference in introduction, activities, and other content composition in each small lesson unit by making the best use of characteristics in each textbook. In particular, the learning content has been composed of a variety of materials for practices in the selection of cooking practice materials for making snacks or a one-dish meal for both fifth and sixth graders. However, in the case of making a one-dish meal using steamed rice for sixth graders, materials that are somewhat difficult for elementary students to practice and unlikely to be applied in real life are selected in some textbooks, so prudent selection considering the development levels of elementary schoolers and practice environment of schools is required in the selection of cooking practice materials in the future.
