대학의 소단위 학위제 개발 동향 분석: 소단위 학위제 사례분석과 대안을 중심으로 (Analysis of trends in the development of small-scale degree systems in universities: Focusing on case studies and alternatives to small-scale degree systems)

초록

목적 본 연구는 한국사회와 대학이 겪고 있는 급속한 변화에 착안하여, 대학 내 다양한 학위제 변화 동향을 검증하고, 그 중에서소단위 학위제의 운영현황과 효율성을 분석한다. 특히 실용학문이 중시되는 전문대학 특수성을 고려하여, 명지전문대학 재학생을대상으로, 학생들의 선호도를 반영하는 교과목 및 학과개발에 대한 요구조사를 기반으로 한다. 또한 국내대학이 기운영중인 나노디그리 및 마이크로디그리 등의 소단위 학위제와 융합 모듈 운영에 관한 사례를 분석하고, 제도 및 시대변화에 적용 가능한 유연한학위제의 방향성을 제시하고자 한다.
방법 사례연구로서 교육부 중심 제도변화와 국내대학의 나노디그리 및 마이크로디그리 등의 소단위 학위제의 운영현황과 효율성을분석한다. 기술적 통계로서는 명지전문대학생 536명 대상으로, 소단위 학위제 개발에 관한 요구조사를 실시하여 양적 분석하고, 선호 교과목에의 요구사항을 반영한 소단위 학위제 개발을 제언한다.
결과 대학생들은 자율학과 및 선택이 다양한 소단위 학위제에 관심이 상당히 높았으며, 국내대학의 사례에서도 그 만족도가 높음을알 수 있었다. 향후 대학개혁의 일환으로 교육제도 및 시대 변화에 부합한 교과목 개설이 유연하게 운영되어야 할 것이다.
결론 초⋅중⋅고는 물론 대학의 중도탈락 방지를 위한 진로교육과 학생 개개인에 맞는 교과구성의 개선을 통해, 삶의 주체자가 될수 있는 핵심역량 강화를 위한, 교육개혁의 방향을 제언할 수 있다.

영어초록

Objectives This study examines the changes in various degree systems within universities, focusing on the rapid changes that Korean society and universities are experiencing, and analyzes the operation status and efficiency of the small-scale degree system. In particular, it is based on a survey on the needs of subjects and department development that reflect students' preferences for students of Myongji College, taking into account the specificity of junior colleges where practical studies are important. It is also intended to analyze cases on the operation of small-scale degree systems and convergence modules such as Nanodigri and Microdigri, which are already in operation by domestic universities, and to suggest the direction of the flexible degree system that can be applied to institutional and periodic changes.
Methods As a case study, it analyzes the changes in the Ministry of Education-centered system and the operation status and efficiency of small-scale degree systems such as nanodigri and microdigri at domestic universities. As for technical statistics, 536 Myongji College students are surveyed for the development of a small-scale degree system and analyzed quantitatively, and suggest the development of a small-scale degree system that reflects the requirements for preferred subjects.
Results University students were very interested in autonomous departments and small-scale degree systems with a variety of choices, and it was also found that satisfaction was high in the cases of domestic universities.
As part of future university reform, the opening of subjects in line with changes in the educational system and times should be operated flexibly.
Conclusions Through career education to prevent dropout from elementary, middle, and high schools as well as universities, and improvement of curriculum composition tailored to each student, it is possible to suggest the direction of university reform to strengthen core competencies that can design the entire life.
