예비창업자의 마인드셋이 그릿, 자기효능감, 창업의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Pre-Business Leaders’ Mindset on Grit, Self-Efficacy, and the Entrepreneurship Intention)

초록

Purpose: In order for the founder to endure the adversity that occurred after the start-up and grow, it is necessary to take a closer look at the factors affecting the entrepreneurial intention. This study analyzed the effect of the hardship index on mindset, grit, self-efficacy and entrepreneurship intention to explore the psychological elements to support and motivate pre-business readers’ decision to start the enterprise.
Research design, data, and methodology: To achieve the goal of the research, we derived the research model and hypotheses based on the theoretical background; then we executed empirical research by conducting survey on the employees interested in the start-up. The data were collected from 300 office workers across the country to set up pre-business readers interested in starting a business as a population and to secure a representative sample overall. The proposed hypotheses and research model were verified by the structural equation model in Amos.
Results: The summary of the empirical research is summarized as below. First, pre-business readers’ hardship index displayed multi-dimensional characteristic that consists fixed mindset and growth mindset. Second, fixed mindset of pre-business readers had a negative on their self-efficacy, while growth mindset of pre-business readers had a positive effect on their self-efficacy. Third, pre-business readers’ grit had a positive effect on their entrepreneurship intention. Fourth, pre-business readers’ self-efficacy had a positive effect on their entrepreneurship intention.
Conclusions: Since the influence of the fixed mindset and the growth mindset on the self-efficacy is different, and the growth mindset plays a role in reinforcing self-efficacy, the development of an educational program that can promote the growth mindset of pre-business readers is required. These results suggest that pre-business readers' grit and self-efficacy play an important role in facilitating their entrepreneurial intention and that to promote pre-business readers' grit and self-efficacy, their growth mindset must be improved.
