지속가능성의 관점에서 본 트랜스포머블 패션 소재의 유형과 특성 (The Types and Characteristics of Transformable Fashion Materials from the Perspective of Sustainability)

초록

지속가능성에 대한 논의가 확장되면서 패션 분야에서도 지속가능성에 대한 실질적인 방법들이 활발히 전개되고 있다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 트랜스포머블 패션을 지속가능성의 관점에서 조망하고, 소재를 중심으로 유형과 특성을 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구의 방법은 선행 연구를 토대로 지속가능한 패션 소재와 트랜스포머블 패션을 살펴보고, 최근 5년간의 사례를 수집하여 지속가능한 트랜스포머블 패션 소재를 분석하는 것이다. 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 패션의 지속가능한 소재는 천연 소재, 재활용 소재, 바이오 소재, 대체 소재, 3D 프린팅 소재, 가상 소재로 나타났다. 지속가능한 트랜스포머블 패션 소재의 유형은 바이오 소재, 반응 소재, 발광 소재, 모듈 소재, 가상 소재로 분석되었다. 둘째, 트랜스포머블 패션 소재는 바이오 물질, 열, 빛, 인터랙션, 조립, 가상세계를 통해 다양한 변형을 이뤄냈으며, 환경친화적 재료의 활용도와 변형 가능한 경우의 수가 증가하면서 지속가능성의 측면에서 효율성과 경제성이 증가하였다. 특히 바이오 소재와 가상 소재를 통한 트랜스포머블 패션의 구현은 앞으로 지속가능성의 실제적 방법이 될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 셋째, 지속가능한 트랜스포머블 패션 소재의 특성은 바이오 기반의 확대, 인체 변화의 수용, 디지털 기술의 융합, 인터랙션의 연장으로 분석되었다. 특히 가장 주목할만한 특성은 바이오 기반이 확대되고 있다는 점이다. 넷째, 트랜스포머블 패션 소재는 디지털 기술의 융합을 중심으로 지속가능성이 확장되고 있으며, 인터랙션의 시간이 연장되면서 지속가능성도 증가함을 확인할 수 있었다. 이와 같은 연구는 트랜스포머블 패션 소재를 중심으로 지속가능성의 발전 방향을 탐색하고, 실험적 사례들의 제시를 통하여 소재를 활용한 트랜스포머블 패션 연구의 활성화에 기여하는 데 의의가 있다.

As discussions on sustainability expand, practical methods for sustainability are being actively developed in the fashion field. Accordingly, the purpose of this study was to view transformable fashion from the perspective of sustainability and analyze its types and characteristics focusing on materials. The method of this study is to look at sustainable fashion materials and transformable fashion based on previous research, and analyze sustainable transformable fashion materials by collecting cases from the past five years. The conclusion of the study is as follows. First, sustainable materials in fashion were categorized into natural materials, recycled materials, bio materials, alternative materials, 3D printing materials, and virtual materials. The types of sustainable transformable fashion materials were analyzed as bio materials, reactive materials, luminescent materials, modular materials, and virtual materials. Second, transformable fashion materials have achieved various transformations through bio matter, heat, light, interaction, assembly, and virtual worlds. As the use of environmentally friendly materials and the number of possible modifications have increased, efficiency and economic feasibility have increased in terms of sustainability. The implementation of transformable fashion through bio materials and virtual materials could become a practical method of sustainability in the future. Third, the characteristics of sustainable transformable fashion materials were analyzed as expansion of bio-based, acceptance of human body changes, convergence of digital technology, and extension of interaction. The most noteworthy characteristic is the expanding bio-based. Fourth, it was confirmed that the sustainability of transformable fashion materials is expanding focusing on the convergence of digital technology, and that sustainability is also getting increased as the interaction time is extended. This study is significant in exploring the development direction of sustainability focusing on transformable materials and contributing to the revitalization of transformable fashion research using materials through the presentation of experimental cases.
