초록

This thesis is shortly written about the dutiful engagements according to the general Buddhist principles.
A family is a place where the members' minds come in contact with one another. If the all members of family love one another the home will be as beautiful as a flower garden. But anybody does not thinks other ways and act differently. In some cases that should make out some kind of family problems.
This kind of affairs can not be a so good family phenomenon. In a sense with that problem there is some kind of requirements between a husband and a wife.
The most important duty of husband and wife is negligence and to love each other. The special cases are as followings.
A husband should treat his wife with respect, courtesy and fidelity. He should leave the housekeeping to her and sometimes provide for her needs, such accessories and juries.
In the other side of life, a wife should take pains with the housekeeping, manage the servants wisely, maintain her virtue as a good wife should. She should not waste her husband's income, and should the properly and faithfully. If these rues are followed, a happy home will be maintained there will be arise no sympathetic quarrelling. There are many family affairs and problems to solve easily. One of the ways to solve the problems is to recognize the difference of sex and seniority, and maintain the purity of families and communities.
As we have seen, in the Buddhist teachings family life is important and live well, in a sense it depends on the husband and wife's duties.
In Korea we think the members' inter-harmony communication is the most important factors. So husband and wife should do not only their family affairs but also social special cunning. It must be a way that we could live a little more cultural life than the other days.
