델포조 패션 컬렉션에 나타난 건축적 조형 특성 연구 (Analysis of the Architectural Design Characteristics in Delpozo Fashion Collection)

초록

패션과 건축은 오랜 기간 철학, 예술, 미학적 관점에서 서로 영향을 주고받았다. 인체를 보호하기 위해 심미적구조와 공간을 만든다는 것은 두 분야가 공유하는 가장 가시적이고 논리적인 관계이다. 패션과 건축을 연결하는많은 기법, 개념, 담론 중 패션 브랜드 디자인 분석을 통한 공통적 디자인 조형성 연구는 건축과 패션의 교착관계 연구 뿐 아니라 건축적 패션 조형의 창의적 비전을 제시 할 수 있을 것이다. 연구방법으로는 문헌 고찰을 중심으로 패션과 건축의 상관관계를 조명하고, 건축적 패션의 특징을 나타내는 대표적 브랜드인 델포조 컬렉션 디자인 조형성을 분석하였다. 연구범위는 크리에이티브 디렉터 조셉 폰트가 델포조를 이끈 2013~2018년도 사이 출시된 시즌 컬렉션으로 한정하였다. 연구내용은 델포조 컬렉션에 나타난 건축적 조형 특성을 인체와의 공간성으로 보고, 이를 조형 요소와 조형 기법으로 분석하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저, 델포조 컬렉션의건축적 조형 요소는 유기적인 곡선으로 스웰, 커브, 아크, 저트의 4가지 유형으로 드러났다. 델포조 디자인에서유기적인 곡선은 입체적 구조를 나타내고 인체와의 공간성을 형성하는 특징을 가진다. 다음으로 델포조 컬렉션의 건축적 조형 기법은 접기, 중첩, 주름, 오려내기의 기법으로 나타났다. 델포조 디자인은 접기 구조에 의한 조형성이 가장 큰 특징으로 드러났고, 입체 패턴을 통해 의복의 구조적 공간성을 구축하는 것이 표현 특징으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 현대 패션과 건축의 조형 공통성은 인체와의 공간 맥락화에 있음을 밝혔다. 연구의 자료는현대 패션의 디자인 메커니즘을 파악하고, 패션과 건축의 디자인 연계 가능성을 촉진하는데 도움이 되는 자료로활용되어질 것을 기대한다.

영어초록

Fashion and architecture have long exchanged impacts in terms of philosophy, art, and aesthetics. Making aesthetic structure and space to protect the human body is the most visible and logical relationship shared by the two fields. Of the many techniques, concepts, and discourses that connect fashion and architecture, studies of common design formativeness through the analysis of fashion brand designs can investigate the complicated relationship between architecture and fashion and also present a creative vision of architectural fashion. As for research methods, this study investigated the correlation between fashion and architecture, focusing on literature reviews and analyzed the formativeness of the designs in Delpozo Collection which is the representative brand showing the characteristics of architectural fashion.
The scope of the research was limited to the seasonal collections released between 2013 and 2018, when Creative Director Josep Font led Delpozo. As for the contents of the research, the architectural formative characteristic in the Delpozo Collection was considered the spatiality with the human body, which was analyzed by formative elements and formative techniques. The results of the study are as follows. First, the architectural formative element of the Delpozo Collection was an organic curve, which appeared in four types, including swell, curve, arc, and jut. In the Delpozo design, the organic curve represents three-dimensional structures and has a characteristic of forming spatiality with the human body. Next, architectural formative techniques for the Delpozo Collection included folding, layering, pleating and cut-out techniques. The formativeness by the folding structure was the biggest characteristic of the Delpozo design, and the construction of a structural space of clothes through three-dimensional patterns were the expression characteristices. This study revealed that the formative commonality of modern fashion and architecture is in spatial contextualization with the human body. The data in this study will be expected as a material helpful for understanding the design mechanism of modern fashion and promoting the possibility of connecting fashion design and architecture design.
