참선곡류 불교 가사의 구조적 성격 (A study on the structural characteristics of the Buddhist Gasa(佛敎歌辭) of Seon meditation Gasa style(參禪曲類))

초록

There could be several kinds of the Buddhist Gasa styles(佛敎歌辭類型); Seon medition Gasa style(參禪曲類), Repenting mind Gasa style(回心曲類), Going to Nirvana Gasa style(往生歌類), Praying to Buddha Gasa style(念佛歌類) and so on. The study on Gasa style can be the new way to understand the Buddhist Gasa. Because we can reach to the higher view about the Buddhist Gasa. For example we can find out the relationship among Buddhist Gasas within one style and the historical effect between each the Buddhist Gasa styles. Here I started to study a Seon meditation Gasa style(參禪曲類) in order to get to the goal like those in three aspects which are the principle of narration development. the characteristics of persona, the contents of Seon meditation.
The first, in the aspect of the principle of narration development, all works of Seon medition Gasa style showed the relationship between the problem and solution of problem one time or two times, three times inside each Gasa. And the problem and solution of problem is changing from the general meaning to specific meaning. The general meaning is about all sencient-being life, specific meaning about Seon meditation practicing.
The second, in the aspect of the characteristics of persona, there are recovered several kinds of persona advocating opinion, explaining Buddhism, delineating one's experience of Seon practicing. But these three persona are unified into one teaching Buddhism persona by ordering or demanding. These three persona played the role to teach the Buddhism more effectively to people than one teaching persona could do.
The third, in the aspect of the contents of Seon meditation, there are found out several kinds of Seon meditation, for example, Whadu meditation(看話禪), Watching meditation(觀法), Reflecting meditation(廻光返照), Praying to Buddha meditation(念佛禪). In Seon meditation Gasa style, Whadu meditation(看話禪) is the main practicing way on the one hand, the remainders are secondary practicing ways on the other hand. The remainder Seon medition are functioning to help Whadu meditation to get to the sudden enlightenment more easily.
This paper is the starting of studying the Buddhist Gasa styles. So the other Buddhist Gasa style are still left waiting for new researching. (Andong National University)
