육상경기지도자 리더십유형이 선수 경기력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Leadership Styles of Athletic Sports Leaders Have on Athletes' Performance)

초록

This study aims to provide empirical data for cultivating and improving the leaders' systematic training skills by analysing efficiently the improvement of athletes' performance, suitable behavior and styles of training for athletes' individual peculiarities, and the interaction between leaders and athletes on the basis of researches related to leadership styles in athletic sports, and by bringing light on the effect athletic sports leadership styles have on athletic performance. For this, a research has been conducted for 275 athletes who are registered in the Korea Athletics Federation. Factorial analysis, analysis of variance (ANOVA), t-test and multiple regression analysis have been carried out using PASW 19.0 program for the collected data. Firstly, in order to conduct multiple regression analysis on the leadership styles and athletes' performance, the athletic performance, which is a dependent variable, is divided into and defined as positive, focused, autonomous and sensuous athletic performance while the leadership, which is an independent variable, is divided into and defined as relation-forming, athlete-encouraging, athlete-favoring and peremptory leadership; then these are analysed to draw the conclusion: athlete-favoring leadership turned out to have significant effect on the positive, focused and autonomous athletic performance. Secondly, in terms of athletes' individual peculiarities, men's average showed higher result than women's while in terms of affiliation and athletic performance resulting from leadership styles, significant difference has been drawn with aspects such as positive, focused and auton mous performance.
