초록

본 연구는 발달장애아동의 감각처리능력과 어머니의 근골격계 증상 및 양육부담감과의
관계를 알아보고자 실시되었다. 서울과 경기도 및 인천 지역에 있는 대학병원, 재활병원
그리고 장애인 복지관 등의 재활시설을 이용하는 만 3∼10세의 발달장애아동을 둔 어머니
140명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 측정도구로는 세 가지의 질문지로써 단축형 감
각 프로파일(Short Sensory Profile), 근골격계 증상, 양육부담감 척도를 사용하였다.
발달장애아동의 어머니 중에 근골격계 증상을 호소하는 비율은 75%로 어깨부위의 호소
가 가장 많았으며 근골격계 증상은 감각처리능력에 따라서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나
타났다. 또한 발달장애아동의 어머니는 보통 이상의 양육부담감을 가지고 있으며 발달장
애아동의 감각처리능력에 따라 어머니의 전체 양육부담감은 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 그
리고 양육부담감의 하위영역 중 신체적 부담감과 사회적 부담감이 높을수록 근골격계 증
상 또한 증가하는 것으로 나타났다.
그러므로 어머니의 근골격계 증상과 양육부담감의 문제점을 해결할 수 있도록 발달장애
아동의 감각처리능력에 대한 전문가의 정확한 평가와 조기 중재 및 치료가 요구되며 직접
적인 사회적 지지를 통해서 어머님의 심리적 안정감을 높이는 것이 필요하다고 사료된다.

영어초록

To study the relationships between sensory processing abilities of children
with developmental disorders and mother's musculoskeletal symptoms and
parenting-burden. Using university hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals and
rehabilitation facilities in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province and Incheon, such as
disability welfare from mothers with children 3 to 10 years old with
developmental disabilities, 140 people were surveyed. Questionnaires were
used to determine three aspects witch include Short Sensory Profile,
musculoskeletal symptoms and to scale the parenting burden of the
mothers.
Out of 75% of the mothers who undertook the study complained of shoulder
pain (musculoskeletal symptoms). The musculoskeletal symptoms of the
mother is variable depending on the degree of the child's disability. Also, the
mothers who have children with developmental disorders suffer a much lager
parenting burden than that of a mother with a child without the
developmental disorder, the parenting burden of the mothers with children
with developmental disorders is also variable depending on the level of the
disorder of there child. And, in a subsection of parenting burden, physical
and social burden on the mother's would also reflect on the level of
musculoskeletal symptoms of the mother's. The sensory processing abilities
of children with developmental disorders has a link to the mother's level of
burden, it was found that if the child had a normal reaction, the mother's
parenting-burden and musculoskeletal symptoms would be minor but if the
child had a more serious level of disability then the mother's
parenting-burden and musculoskeletal symptoms would be much more
extensive.
Therefore, musculoskeletal symptoms and mother's parenting-burden to
solve the problem of sensory processing abilities of children with
developmental disabilities specialist for an accurate assessment of needs and
early intervention and treatment, Through direct social support to increase
the mother's peace of mind should be needed.
