소개

교내 학술대회에서 대상을 수상한 논문입니다. 군복무가 우리나라에만 존재하기 때문에 자료를 구하기 어려웠지만 열심히 서치한 다양한 자료를 참고하고 SPSS 프로그래핑을 통해 객관적으로 분석한 논문입니다. 연구참여 대상자 동의서와 저희가 사용한 설문지까지 포함되어 있습니다.

Ⅰ.서론

1. 연구의 필요성
2010년 통계청에서 발표한 연도별/연령별 성비 추이를 보면 여성 100명당 20세 이상 24세 이하의 남성의 수는 113.7명, 25세 이상 29세 이하의 남성의 수는 103.8명이다(통계청, 2010). 이것을 보면 한국은 여성에 비해 남성이 많다는 것을 알 수 있다. 그렇기 때문에 한국의 대다수를 구성하고 있는 남성에 대한 이해가 필요하다. 남성들을 잘 이해하기 위해선 남성들이 꼭 가야하는 군대와의 관련성을 알아보는 것이 중요하다. 우리나라 성인 남자들은 헌법 제37조와 병역법 제3조에 의해 모두 국방의 의무를 가지고 있고, 이를 시행하기 위하여 생애의 일정기간을 군 사회에 속하게 되며, 익숙해져 있던 가정과 주위 환경을 떠나 군대라는 특수조직의 구성원이 되어야 한다(Cho, 2002). 군대라는 곳은 현재 60만이 넘는 인원으로 구성되어 있고, 특수한 상황에 속해있는 특수한 조직이다(Son, 2007). 대부분 청년기에 있는 이들은 개인적으로나 국가 사회적으로 대단히 중요한 시기에 중요한 의미를 지니는 환경 속에서 살고 있다(Choi, 2002).
그래서 군 입대 전과 입대 후의 20대 남성들은 많은 차이가 있다. 그 중에서도 이 논문은 자기결정성 학습동기, 가치관, 건강상태를 비교 하고자 한다. 보편적으로 남자들이 군복무를 결정하게 되는 시기는 대학생이 되고서, 즉 20대에 들어서이다. 또 남자대학생들의 전역 후는 사회에 대한 적응이 필요한 시기이기도 할뿐만 아니라 인생의 또 다른 시작이 되는 중요한 시기이기도하다. 그렇기에 남자대학생들은 군 복무가 주는 제한적 특성으로 인해 각 개인이 속해있는 사회적 위치에서 군복무 전의 남자 대학생들과 군복무를 마친 남자대학생들의 자기결정성 학습동기, 가치관, 건강상태의 인식 정도가 다르게 나타날 수 있다.
