초록

한자 도형화는 일정한 이론적 의미와 실제적 의미를 지니고 있으며, 한자 도형 언어의 합리적인 사용은 포스터 디자인을 풍부하게 만드는 일종의 특수한 수단이다. 그러나 기존 이론과 표현은 비교적 부분적이고 평면적일 뿐만 아니라 한자 예술의 문화성을 소홀히 했으며, 또한 포스터 디자인의 한자 도형 디자인에 대한 다양한 측면의 이론 연구가 부족하다. 따라서 본 연구는 한자와 도형의 장점을 결합하여 한자 도형화에 대한 창의적 구상을 확대하고, 한자 도형화 디자인을 위한 효과적인 디자인 방법 제시를 목적으로 한다. 그리고 본 연구의 연구 방법은 칸타이쿵, 알란 찬, 류샤오강, 비쉐펑 등 4명의 중국 대표 디자이너의 작품과 최근 등장한 우수한 한자 도형화 포스터 작품을 분석한다. 이를 통해 한자 도형화에 사용되는 한자와 한자의 결합, 한자와 도형의 결합, 한자 필획의 감소와 생략 등 3가지 디자인 측면을 중심으로 구체적인 디자인 방법을 고찰하고, 결론적으로 다음과 같이 12가지 구체적인 디자인 방법을 도출한다. 1) 한자의 해체와 재구축, 2) 한자의 동구와 이구, 3) 한자와 수묵 요소의 결합, 4) 한자와 도형의 교체, 5) 한자와 도형의 상호 요소화, 6) 한자의 공간화, 7) 한자의 포지티브와 네거티브 형태, 8) 한자 필획의 연속 사용, 9) 한자 필획의 감소와 생략, 10) 한자의 도형 구성, 11) 한자의 중첩 조합, 12) 한자의 시각적 예술 표현 등이다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 이러한 디자인 방법은 한자 정보의 전달 기능을 최대한 실현하고, 포스터에서 한자 도형화 디자인의 적용성을 더욱 강화할 수 있다. 또한 이 연구 결과를 적절히 활용할 경우 디자이너는 각종 디자인 주제에 따라 적합한 디자인 방법을 선택하여 디자인 효율을 더욱 향상시킬 수 있다.

영어초록

The graphical presentation of Chinese characters has both theoretical and practical significance. It is a special means of enriching the poster design of Chinese characters and applying the graphic language of Chinese characters reasonably. However, the existing theory and expressions are partial and less comprehensive and ignore the cultural features of the Chinese character art. As a result, no multi-perspective theoretical research has been conducted on the graphic design of Chinese characters in poster design. The purpose of this research is to combine the advantages and characteristics of Chinese characters and graphics, and with the view to providing clear and effective design methods for the design of the graphical presentation of Chinese characters while expanding the creative ideas in terms of the graphical presentation of Chinese characters. Therefore, the method of this research is to derive specific design methods from three designs with the graphic representation of Chinese characters, including the combination of Chinese characters, the combination of Chinese characters with graphics, and the omission of Chinese character strokes, by analyzing the works of four representative Chinese character poster designers, Kan Tai Keung, Alan Chan, Liu Xiaokang and Bi Xuefeng, as well as outstanding posters with the graphic representation of Chinese characters in recent years. Finally, the research results cover 12 specific design methods: 1) deconstruction and recombination of Chinese characters, 2) isomorphism and isomerism of Chinese characters, 3) combination of Chinese character and ink elements, 4) replacement of Chinese characters and graphics, 5) Chinese characters and graphics as elements of each other, 6) spatialization of Chinese characters, 7) positive and negative forms of Chinese characters, 8) joined-up writing of Chinese characters, 9) omission of Chinese character strokes, 10) graphic structure of Chinese characters, 11) overlapping and combination of Chinese characters, and 12) visual art presentation of Chinese characters. These design methods can maximize the function of conveying information in Chinese characters and enhance the applicability of the design with the graphical presentation of Chinese characters in posters. In addition, when using such research results, designers could choose the appropriate design method depending on their design subjects, further improving their design efficiency.
