초록

For international games such as Olympic, World Championship in Athletics and Asian games, there are athletes’ village for athletes. This study discusses about purpose of athletes’ village and problems caused from them. Such discussion goes as far as asking if athletes’ village are really necessary. Athletes’ village for international games exist to provide conveniences to athletes from within and outside of the country who prepare for the game. But some teams do not require such convenience. Some athletes take outside accommodations by their nation or by their teams without entering the athletes’ village but there are many problems lying in here. Also, various problems come to rise during the game season and after. Also, the athletes’ village are left without purpose once games are over. Various problems are linked one from another and we ask if athletes’ village are really necessary. This research studies various problems regarding athletes’ village in critical position.
