청소년소외에 따른 범죄유형과 대책 (A Study on the Types of Juvenile Crimes and the Solutions)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 최근 그 심각성으로 인하여 사회문제화 되고 있는 청소년들의 소외에 의한 비행과 범죄의 유형에 대하여 새로운 인식을 갖고, 교육적 접근을 통한 효과적인 대처 방안을 모색해 보고자 함에 있다.
이를 위해 광주·전남 지역의 6개 중·고등학교에 재학 중인 청소년을 대상으로 청소년 소외로 인한 여러 가지 비행과 범죄의 유형에 대한 경험여부를 질문지를 통해 467명을 본 연구의 대상으로 표집 하였다. 다음으로 청소년소외에 대한 개념 정의와 소외의 피해 등 선행연구 이론을 고찰 하였다.
이와 함께 가정, 학교, 사회에서 청소년 소외와 관련된 위험요인인 가족, 친구의 사회적 지지부족으로 인한 소외, 부모의 이혼과 별거, 부모의 무관심, 조손가정에 따른 결손가정환경과 경제적 취약성으로 인한 소외, 전인교육을 외면한 경쟁제일주의 입시위주 교육에 따른 교육적 기능약화로 인한 소외, 성인위주의 사회 환경과 사회의 무관심 등으로 인한 소외가 비행과 범죄에 대해 상관관계가 있는지를 살펴보았다.
이를 통해 여러 가지 소외가 비행과 범죄에 연결됨을 알 수 있었으며, 특히 소외청소년은 타인에 대해 적대적 편견으로 불량청소년과 하위문화를 형성, 가해학생이 되어 일탈, 각종 비행이나 TV, 인터넷 등 미디어를 통한 모방범죄 등을 경험하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
본 연구결과에서는 청소년 소외로 인한 비행과 범죄를 예방하기 위해서 관련기관의 유기적인 협조와 실효성 있는 활동이 이어질 수 있도록 가정, 학교, 사회의 교육에 대한 전향적인 사고의 전환이 필요하다는 것을 시사하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to the misconducts and crimes by the juveniles due to the alienation of the young people which is becoming more and more serious these days, posing a significant problem in the society. We will examine the causes and types from a different point of view compared to the existing studies. Also in this study, it will be attempted to find an effective solution for this problem in an educational approach based on such refreshed views as a result of this study.
For this, we have collected samples from 6 Junior High, or High schools in Gwangju-Jeonnam region. We could secure 467 interviewees for our survey questionnaires, which were asking their experiences with various kinds of misconducts or crimes as a result of the alienation of these juveniles. With this upon the basis, the conceptual definition and the identification of the damages by such alienation were further contemplated, including reviews of the existing literature.
In addition, other social problems that might be affecting the alienation of the juveniles in the families, schools, and the community and their correlation with criminal behavior were examined. These social problems include the lack of supports from the family members or the peers, separation or divorce of the parents, incomplete families or grandparents-grandchildren families, overly-competitive, non-whole-person education at schools, alienation due to economic hardships, and the negligence, adult-oriented social environment.
As a result, alienation because of such various kinds was discovered to be connected with the juvenile crimes. Especially those juveniles who are alienated form a subculture with other juveniles with behavior problems and they by themselves victimize other juveniles or indulge in various kinds of misbehaviors such as bolting. Such tendencies include copy-cat crimes or other behaviors in imitation of what they see on the internet and TV.
In conclusion, it would be necessary to create a cooperating relationship between relevant agencies and such cooperation should be based on activities with material efficacy to prevent misconducts or crimes by these alienated juveniles. For this purpose, it is also another implication of this study that the families, schools, and the community need to change their existing views and mindsets on education.
