초록

이 논문은 윤성희 소설이 타자윤리와 관계윤리를 핵심으로 한다는 문제의식에서 출발하여 그의 소설에 나타나는 ‘합류’와 ‘접촉’의 모티프를 중심으로 하여 그것의 생태적 의미를 에코페미니즘의 관점에서 검토하였다. 특히 이들 모티프가 데카르트로 대표되는 서구관념철학을 지시하는 핵심 내용이 몸과 마음을 두 개의 분리된 실체로 간주하고 몸을 배제하는 것이라면, 에코페미니즘은 이에 의문을 제기하고 저항하고자 한다. 에코페미니즘은 만짐의 감각에 기반한 교감과 서로 환대하는 존중과 배려를 핵심 가치로 중요하게 여기는 것인데, 윤성희 소설이 만들어 내는 서사윤리는 이에 부합하는 측면이 있다.
윤성희 소설의 윤리를 말하고자 할 때 주체가 타자에 응답하고 책임지는 데에 그 책임을 회피할 알리바이가 없다는 ‘존재에 알리바이 없음’을 참조할 만하다. 그것은 예술의 차원과 심미적 공감의 차원이라는 두 차원에서 모두 의식된다. 윤성희의 소설이 타자를 향한 끊임없는 관심으로 볼 수 있는 배려와 대화관계, 타율적인 상처에 대한 죄의식과 책임, 선물 관계로 연결되는 공동체의 그물망을 상상하고 만들어낸다면, 그의 소설세계에서 성공적으로 일어나는 미적 공감은 주체 자신을 호명하는 타자를 의식하는 정도만큼 ‘응답할 수 있는 책임의식(알리바이 없음)’을 지적으로 탐구하는 것이 아니라 공감하며 승인할 수 있게 한다. 인간이 인간 타자를 태하는 태도가 인간이 자연 타자를 대하는 것과 연결된다는 에코페미니즘의 신조에 의거하면 주체는 인간 타자이든 자연 타자이든 ‘알리바이 없음’라는 관점에서 책임 윤리에 참여할 필요성이 있는 것이다.
그러한 맥락에서 보면 윤성희 소설에서 선물의 이어달리기는 경제적 인간에서 생태적 인간의 전환 가능성을 숙고하게 한다. 근대 자본주의의 산물인 경제적 인간이 소유하는 개인이라면, 탈근대의 고안물인 에코/페미니즘의 생태적 인간은 모든 생명 존재에 사려 깊고 지속적인 존경과 배려의 책임을 할 필요성을 느끼며 상호의존적인 존재로서 공존할 것을 서약한다. 윤성희 소설의 죄의식과 선물 모티프는 경제적 인간의 이기적 개인주의에 의문을 제기하고 상상할 수 있는 생태 인간의 상호 관계성과 책임윤리를 구현하고 있다. 그런 의미에서 윤성희 소설은 에코페미니즘의 독법 가능성을 많이 열어두고 있을 뿐만 아니라 에코페미니즘의 윤리-심미적 구성물의 가능성을 보여주는 좋은 사례라고 할 만하다.

This thesis started with a critical mind that Yun Seong-hee's novels focus on the ethics of the other and the ethics of relationships, and examined their ecological meaning from the perspective of ecofeminism, focusing on the motifs of 'joining' and 'contact' appearing in her novels. In particular, if the core content of these motifs indicative of Western ideal philosophy represented by Descartes is to consider the body and mind as two separate entities and exclude the body, ecofeminism raises questions and tries to resist. Ecofeminism values sympathy based on the sense of touch and respect and consideration for each other as core values.
When talking about the ethics of Yun Seong-hee's novels, it is worth referring to the 'this fact of my non-alibi in Being' that the subject has no alibi to avoid taking responsibility for responding to and taking responsibility for others. It is conscious of both the dimension of art and the dimension of aesthetic empathy. If Yun Seong-hee's novel imagines and creates a network of community that is connected to caring and conversational relationships, guilt and responsibility for heteronomous wounds, and gift relationships that can be seen as constant interest in others, then what happens successfully in her novel world Aesthetic empathy allows the subject to approve 'responsibility to respond (non-alibi)' to the extent of being conscious of the other calling himself, not intellectually, but sympathetically. Based on the creed of ecofeminism that the attitude of human beings toward the human other is linked to the human being's treatment of the natural other, it is necessary for the subject to participate in responsibility ethics from the point of view of 'my non-alibi', whether it is the human other or the natural other.
In that context, the succession of gifts in Yun Seong-hee's novels makes us contemplate the possibility of transition from economic humans to ecological humans. If you are an individual owned by economic human beings, a product of modern capitalism, ecological human beings of eco/feminism, a product of postmodernism, pledge to coexist as mutually dependent beings feeling the need to take responsibility for thoughtful and continuous respect and consideration for all living beings. do. The motif of guilt and gift in Yun Seong-hee's novel raises questions about the selfish individualism of economic people and embodies the imaginable mutual relationship and responsibility ethics of ecological people. In that sense, Yun Seong-hee's novels are good examples that not only open up the possibility of reading ecofeminism, but also show the possibility of ecofeminism's ethical-aesthetic construction.
