『정재집』의 간행과 간행 활동 참여자 (Participants and the publication of 『Jeong Jae-jip』)

초록

정재 류치명(1777~1861)은 조선 말기 안동을 중심으로 학계를 주도한 대학자였다. 『정재집』을 간행할 때의 기록을 담고 있는 『간역시수창록刊役 時酬唱錄』은 문집 간행을 축하하며 읊은 시 62편을 중심으로 하여 지역 사회에 문집 간행을 알리는 통문, 문집 간행 시 임무 분담, 각수 명단 등이 수록되어 있어 간행 당시의 과정과 상황, 지식인들의 참여를 알 수 있는 중요한 자료이다.
본고는 여러 기록과 『간역시수창록』을 통해 『정재집』의 간행 시기와 간행 과정, 정재 문인과 후손 등 여러 인물들의 『정재집』 간행 시 활동에 대해 살펴보았다.
『정재집』은 정재의 사후 문인들이 여러 차례 편집·교정을 거쳐 1881년에 문집 체제로 완성하여 1883년 3월 말부터 4월 초 무렵에 각처에 통문을 보내 문집 간행 시작을 알렸다.
『정재집』의 판각 작업은 1883년 4월 15일에 안동 황학산 용담사에서 시작하여 1884년 윤5월 7일 전에 판각을 마무리한 뒤 판각 교정에 들어갔으며, 늦어도 1884년 8월 9일 이전에 원집 36권의 간행을 완료하여 여러 곳에 반질하였다.
『정재집』 간행 시 임무 분담은 전주류씨 문중과 전주류씨 문중 외 인물들의 임무를 각각 따로 나누어 구성하였다. 간행 활동에 참여한 문중 인물 72명은 9개의 임무로 나누었으며, 도도감 1명, 도감 8명, 교정도감 7명, 감각 11명, 감인 10명, 장책 15명, 직일 7명, 시도 11명, 도판 2명이 맡았다.
문중 외 인물은 113명이 10개의 임무로 나누어 이돈우와 김규락이 간행의 총 책임자에 해당하는 도도감을 맡았다. 기타 도감 18명, 교정도도감 1명, 교정도감 18명, 교정유사 17명, 감각 10명, 감인 13명, 직일 27명, 시도 5명, 도판 2명이 맡았다. 특히 이돈우, 권연하, 김진성, 김도화, 권세연 등 많은 정재 문인들은 통문 작성과 주요 임무를 담당함으로써 문집 간행 활동에 적극적으로 참여하였다.
판각 작업에 참여한 각수는 모두 44명으로, 안동을 중심으로 대구, 상주, 선산, 영주, 예천, 의성, 용궁 등에 거주하고 있었으며, 전체 각수의 총 책임자로 판각 작업을 총괄했던 임무인 도각수 전기원은 안동에 거주한 명성있는 각수였다.

영어초록

Jeong Jae (定齋) Ryu Chi-myeong (柳致明, 1777~1861) was a great scholar who led the academic community centered on Andong at the end of the Joseon Dynasty.
『Ganyeoksi-soochangrok (刊役時酬唱錄)』 which contains records when publishing 『JeongJaejib (定齋集)』, contains 62 poems written to celebrate the publication of the collection. In addition, it contains a text to inform the local community of the publication of literary works, division of duties when publishing literary works, and a list of people who have carved the woodblocks. In the end, through this data, the process and situation at the time of publication of the collection, and the participation of intellectuals can be found.
This paper examined the related data and publication process of 『JeongJaejib (定齋集)』, the current status of participation in the local community at the time of publication of the literary collection, including Jeong Jae's friends and descendants, as well as related records and the text of 『Ganyeoksi-soochangrok (刊役時酬唱錄)』 『Jeongjaejip (定齋集)』 was edited several times by his disciples after Jeong Jae’s death, and after correction work, it established a book system in 1881.
After that, from the end of March to the beginning of April 1883, ‘Tongmoon’ that is kind of notices were sent to each province, and books began to be published.
On April 15, 1883, the process of carving the 『Jeongjaejip (定齋集)』 began at Yongdamsa Temple in Hwanghaksan Mountain, Andong.
After completing the engraving work before May 7, 1884, he began the proofreading work. Subsequently, 36 volumes originally intended to be published before August 9, 1884 were completed.
When publishing 『Jeongjae-jip』, the division of duties was divided into the duties of the Jeonju-ryu family (全州柳⽂) and those of people other than the Jeonju-ryu family (全州柳⽂). There were 72 people in the family who participated in the publication activities.
They were composed into nine tasks, with 1 dodogam (都都監), 8 dogams (都監), 7 gyojeongdogams (校正都監), 11 gamgaks (監刻), 10 gamins (監印), 15 jangchaeks (粧冊), 7 jikils (直日), 11 sidos (時到), and 2 dopans (都辦).
There were 113 people outside the family. They were divided into 10 duties, and Lee Don-woo (李敦禹) and Kim Gyu-rak (⾦奎洛) were in charge of the general manager of the publication. In addition, 18 dogams (都監), 1 gyojeongdodogam (校正都都監), 18 gyojeongdogams (校正都監), 17 gyojeongyoosas (校正有司), 10 gamgaks (監刻), 13 gamins (監印), 27 jikils (直日), 5 sidos (時到), and 2 dopans (都辦) participated.
In particular, Ryu Chi-myeong’s disciples, such as Lee Don-woo (李敦禹), Kwon Yeon-ha (權璉夏), Kim Jin-sung (⾦鎭誠), Kim Do-hwa (⾦道和), and Kwon Se-yeon (權世淵), actively participated in the book’s ]publication activities, taking charge of writing texts and their main duties.
A total of 44 people participated in the woodblock carving work, living in Daegu, Sangju, Seonsan, Yeongju, Yecheon, Uiseong, and Yonggung, centering on Andong. Among them, Jeon gi won (田基元) was in charge of the total number of individuals and oversaw the engraving work. He was a famous engraver living in Andong.
