성인 지적장애인 가족의 가족탄력성이 가족적응에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of the Family Resilience with the Family of Adult with Intellectual Disabilities on Family Adaptation)

초록

본 연구는 성인 지적장애인 가족의 가족탄력성이 가족적응에 미치는 영향에 관한 것으로 가족탄력성이 가족적응과 어떠한 관계가 있는지 살펴보고, 가족적응에 영향력이 있는 가족 관련변인을 구체적으로 제시함으로써, 지적장애인의 성공적인 직업재활을 위하여 가족이 보다 건강하게 적응할 수 있도록 실천 개입방법을 모색하기 위한 자료로 활용하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 주요 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지적장애인 가족의 가족탄력성과 가족적응과의 관계를 살펴보면, 가족탄력성의 구성요소인 신념체계, 조직패턴, 의사소통과정 모든 요인에서 가족적응과 높은 정적인 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 지적장애인 가족의 가족탄력성은 가족적응에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 가족탄력성의 요인 중 조직패턴이 44.8%의 설명력을 보이며 가족적응에 가장 영향력을 미치는 요인으로 나타났으며, 각 하위요인별 영향력을 살펴본 결과는 의사소통과정 요소 중 의사소통 요인, 조직패턴 요소 중 응집력과 가족자원 요인이 59.9%의 높은 설명력을 보이며 가족적응에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 분석결과를 바탕으로 가족탄력성을 높이기 위한 프로그램을 개발하여 가족단위로 확대ㆍ실시하고, 가족의 경제적 안정을 도모하기 위한 제도적 지원, 장애정도에 따른 가족적응 프로그램의 개발과 개입을 제시하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the family resilience of families with intellectually disabled adults on their family adaptation, the relationship between family resilience and family adaptation, and family-related variables affecting family adaptation in an effort to provide information on social welfare intervention geared toward facilitating the adaptation of families with intellectually disabled adults. The major findings of the study were as follows: First, as for the relationship between the family resilience and family adaptation of the families with intellectually disabled adults, every factor of family resilience that included belief system, organizational pattern and communication process had a close positive correlation to family adaptation. Second, the family resilience of the families with intellectually disabled adults exerted an influence on their family adaptation. Out of the family resilience factors, organizational pattern was identified as the most influential factor to make a 44.8% prediction of family adaptation. Concerning each subfactor's influence, the communication factor, one of the communication process factors, and family cohesion and family resources, two of the organizational pattern factors, made a strong 59.9% prediction of it and exerted a statistically significant influence on it. Given the findings of the study, programs geared toward boosting family resilience should be developed and provided to every member of families, and there should be institutional aid from the government to ensure their financial stability.
