초록

An objective of space designers is to display a space as a meaningful place containing lots of elements to express the importance of the space. In order to achieve such an objective, human being is studied, which is based on emotion that plays a role as a main element for a change of space concept. Dynamic movement for change of emotion and vitalization leaded to a concept of affordance in the industrial design and the affordance plays a role of developing design field to a higher level with boosting the will of using products designed. This study intends to provide a space designer with concrete ways in order him/her to approach users’ psychological condition rather than focus on a vast design field. In this study, firstly, affordance is largely divided by four – symbol, metaphor, association and concealment – and kinds of digital technology is classified by characteristics in order to apply those to each user and each space accordingly by fusing on affordance. Specially, it shows benefits on use of AR (Augmented Reality) out of digital technologies. AR is used as an essential element to make multi-functional space display available, clearly discloses the purpose of a space, and plays a role as a medium that can amplify diversified view points on the future space. In the future space design, an engineering element like digital will be based on emotion going beyond a design process to occupy the whole areas and the process applied by various technologies will become a foundation to develop fields of space and design.
