초록

둘 이상의 학문 영역의 지식과 가치를 융복합해 구성한 교과목을 묶어 운영하는 융복합적 교육과정은 사회적 요구, 학문적 요구, 학습자들의 요구 등 다양한 요청에 의한 것으로 대학의 경쟁력 강화와 21세기 지식기반사회 주도를 위하여 가속화되고 있다. 현장 수업에서의 융복합 수업은 학생들의 문제해결 능력, 의사소통 능력, 가치관 확립을 종합적으로 교육해 경계를 넘나드는 사람으로 키우는 데 목표를 두고 있다. 체계적인 융복합교육을 실시하기 위하여 교육 체계와 방식, 융복합 교육과정 설계 시 기초 교과의 구체적 구성 등을 고려하여야 한다. 본고에서는 ‘고전의 이해와 적용’이라는 기초융복합 교과목의 개설을 제안하고 있다. 이는 건국대학교의 특성을 고려하여 ‘성신의’를 바탕으로 하는 창의적 인간형 양성이라는 교육목표에 부합하는 교과목을 지향한다. ‘고전의 이해와 적용’은 다양한 가치에 대한 탐색을 통하여 ‘성신의’를 바탕으로 하는 창의적 인간형 양성이라는 목표 하에 텍스트를 선정하게 된다. 이 교과목은 문제 해결의 힘과 효과적인 의사소통 능력 함양을 위하여 수준 높은 읽기와 격식 글쓰기로 이루어진, 읽기-쓰기 융합을 사용한다. ‘읽기-쓰기’는 고도의 추상적 사고작용을 필요로 한다는 점에서 논증 과정을 학습하고 적용하는 공부를 하는 데, 그리고 대학의 지적 생산방식에도 적절하여 많은 대학에서 적용하고 있다. 학교의 필독서 중 강의에 몇 편을 선정, 이용하는 방식이 유용하다. 통합적이고 보편적인 사고의 생산을 위해 ‘고전의 이해와 적용’은 토론, 발표 방식을 사용한다. 이 강의에서는 텍스트에서 창의적으로 문제점을 찾아내어 토론하는 가운데 인간사회의 다양한 문제를 상상하고 해결하는 방법 찾기를 하게 된다.

The Convergence Curriculum is worth more than one field of study that combines the knowledge and subjects tied operates configured. It requires a social and academic needs, including the needs of learners due to a variety of requests. And it is to strengthen the competitiveness of universities in the 21st century to lead the society becomes more active. This course is considered the person to achieve those objectives, research, and the contribution of the human race. ‘Understanding and applying the classic great books’ search for value through a variety of ‘sincerity, fidelity and righteousness’ on the basis of the text of the creative humanoid under positive selection becomes the goal.
