발달지체유아를 대상으로 한 인지발달 증진을 위한 실험연구 효과성에 대한 메타분석 (A Meta-analysis of the Effectiveness of Group Experimental Studies for the Promotion of Cognitive Development in Children with Developmental Delays)

초록

본 연구는 메타분석을 통해 발달지체유아 인지발달 증진을 위한 중재 프로그램 효과를 종합적으로 분석하여 발달지체유아 인지발달 연구의 시사점을 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2008년부터 2021년 12월까지 검색된 국내 발달지체유아를 대상으로 한 인지발달 집단실험연구 석·박사 학위논문 및 학술지에 출판된 8편을 대상으로 총 31개의 효과크기를 분석하였다. 메타분석 대상 변인은 전체 효과크기(ES), 독립변인, 종속변인, 출판유형으로 구분하여 이에 대한 효과크기 값을 산출하였고 이질성에 대한 조절효과분석을 하였다. 이를 위한 효과크기 측정 모델은 랜덤효과모형(random effects model)으로 측정하였다. 그 결과는 첫째, 총 31개의 전체 효과크기는 .95로 매우 높았고 통계적으로 유의미 하였다. 독립변인에 따른 효과크기는 기억훈련이 1.36으로 가장 높았고, 종속변인에 따른 효과크기는 인지영역 1.70이 가장 높았으며, 출판유형의 효과크기는 학술지·박사·석사 모두 .8이상으로 효과가 매우 큰 것으로 나타났다. 또한 메타분석 이질성(heterogeneity)이 상당히 큼을 알 수 있었다. 다만 출판편향이 의심되어 비대칭을 통계적으로 검증하기 위하여 추가로 Egger's의 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 둘째, 발달지체유아를 대상으로 한 인지발달 증진을 위한 실험연구의 증거기반 실제를 위한 질적지표 수준은 Gersten 외(2005)가 제시한 질적지표 분석에서는 전영역이 충족한 것으로 나타났으나, 연구대상자에 대한 상세한 정보와 연구대상자 선별 기준이 다소 미흡하게 나타났으며 중재충실도는 매우 부족하게 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 본 연구의 분석결과에 따라 발달지체유아를 대상으로 한 인지발달 증진을 위한 효과성을 높이기 위해 이에 대한 논의를 제시하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to provide suggestions for the study of cognitive development in children with developmental delays by comprehensively analyzing the effects of intervention programs to promote the cognitive development of group experimental studies for children with developmental delays through meta-analysis. To this purpose, from 2008 to December 2021, a overall of 31 effect sizes were analyzed for a total of 8 experimental research papers on cognitive development targeting children with developmental delays in Korea(3 master's thesis, 2 doctoral thesis, 3 published journal papers). Variables subject to meta-analysis were divided into overall effect size (ES), independent variable, dependent variable, and publication type. All effect size values were calculated for these variables, and the moderating effect analysis for heterogeneity was performed. The effect size measurement model for this was measured by a random effects model. As a result, first, the overall effect size of 31 subjects was very high at .95, and it was statistically significant. As for the effect siz according to the independent variable, memory training was the highest at 1.36, and the effect size according to the dependent variable was the highest in the cognitive function of 1.70. Moreover the effect size according to the publication types of 3 types thesis were higher than .8 . Also, it was found that the meta-analysis heterogeneity was quite large. However, since publication bias was suspected, Egger's regression analysis was additionally performed to statistically verify the asymmetry. Second, the qualitative index level for the evidence-based practice of experimental study for the promotion of cognitive development targeting children with developmental delays was presented by Gersten et al. (2005) in the qualitative indicator analysis, it was found that all areas were satisfied, but detailed information about the study subjects and the criteria for selecting subjects were found to be somewhat insufficient, and the intervention fidelity was found to be very insufficient. Based on this, according to the analysis results of this study, a discussion was presented to increase the effectiveness for promoting cognitive development for children with developmental delays.
