국내 ․ 외 사례 분석을 통한 무대조명연출 특성에 관한 연구 (A Research on Characteristics of Stage Lighting Directing through Home/Foreign Case Analysis)

초록

(연구배경 및 목적)오늘날 문화와 관련된 공연 및 행사가 지역별로 광범위하게 많이 진행되고 있으며 내용적인 측면에 있어서도 다양한 형식과 주제로 사회적 관심을 증대시키고 있는 상황이다. 공연 및 행사에 있어 주된 장소에 대한 공간적 환경은 많은 부분 변화하고 있는데 특히 외부 환경에 설치되는 비상설 무대 형식과 내용적 측면에서 중요한 요소인 무대조명연출의 역할은 매우 중요한 요소이며 무대조명연출에 의하여 공연 및 행사의 결과가 결정되는 경우가 많아지고 있다. 이와 같은 문화와 관련된 공연 및 행사의 빈도가 매우 많아지는 상황에서 국내 무대조명 및 무대조명연출에 대한 연구는 매우 미진하고 기본적인 데이터베이스가 부족하므로 학문적 측면에서 연구를 통한 정립이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 무대조명연출에 대한 문헌적 측면의 일반적 고찰과 실무를 통한 실질적인 국내 ․ 외 사례 분석을 통하여 무대조명연출의 특성을 종합하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. (연구방법)연구 방법의 내용을 보면 1장에서는 무대조명연출에 대한 연구 범위 및 방법에 대한 내용을 정리하고 2장에서는 무대조명연출의 기능과 특성에 대하여 일반적인 고찰을 하였으며 3장에서는 무대조명연출에 대한 국내 ․ 외 사례연구를 분석 요목별로 구분하여 연구하였다. 4장에서는 3장의 사례분석을 통하여 내용을 정리, 종합하였는데 국내 ․ 외 사례를 기반으로 무대조명연출에 있어 도출된 효과를 종합하고 향후 무대조명연출에 대한 연구 방향을 제시하였다.(결과)본 연구에서는 국내 ․ 외 공연 프로젝트를 사례 6개를 중심으로 무대조명연출에 대한 특성을 연구하였는데 사례연구에 있어 연구 요목을 정리하면 무대면적, 실행년도, 적용 이미지, 도면, 조명연출 내용분석, 분석 다이어그램, 적용조명 분석, 적용조명 및 범례 등의 내용으로 분류하여 연구하였다. 또한 국내 ․ 외 사례연구 분석을 통하여 무대조명연출에 있어 6가지 효과를 도출할 수 있었으며 가시적 효과, 현상적 효과, 연속적 효과, 뉘앙스 효과, 공간형성 효과, 차원적 효과 등으로 내용으로 종합할 수 있었다. 또한 향후 무대조명연출 연구 방향에 있어서는 장식적 특성, 방향적 특성, 변화적 특성, 상징적 색채 특성에 대한 연구가 더 많은 부분 이루어져야 하겠는 결론을 얻었다. (결론)무대조명연출에 관련된 연구는 2010년 이후 연구 빈도가 점차 증가함에 따라 그 중요성이 인식되어 연구가 부족했던 무대조명연출에 대한 연구가 많은 부분 진행 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 무대조명연출에 대한 실질적인 사례연구 분석을 통하여 무대조명연출의 효과에 대하여 분석, 종합하여 무대조명연출에 대한 학문적 중요성을 인지할 수 있었으며 본 연구를 통하여 무대조명연출의 분석에 의한 효과 종합이 향후 연구의 학문적 기초 자료로서 역할이 되기를 기대한다.

영어초록

(Research Background & Purpose) Today, cultural shows and events are being widely promoted in every region of Korea, and the diverse formats and themes of such shows and events attract social interest. The spatial environment of the location where the shows and events are promoted has made a number of partial transitions. In particular, the role of temporary stages installed in the outside environment and the role of stage lighting serve as important elements in the content determination process. In many cases, the results of the shows and events are based on the stage lighting directing. Accordingly, the purpose of this research is to synthesize the characteristics of stage lighting directing by analyzing practical Korean and overseas cases by conducting a literature examination and practice on stage lighting directing. (Method) The information related to the scope and method of research on stage lighting directing is described in Chapter 1, and the general examination on the functions and characteristics of stage lighting directing is described in Chapter 2. The Korean and overseas cases of stage lighting directing that are practically applied to the actual field are categorized. A case analysis is conducted in Chapter 3 and the results are organized and synthesized in Chapter 4. In addition, the effects deducted in terms of the stage lighting directing based on the cases applied to the actual field are synthesized, and future research on the stage lighting directing is proposed. (Results) In this research, the characteristics of stage lighting directing are analyzed based on six cases of Korean and overseas show projects directly promoted in the actual field. The cases are categorized into the areas of stage area, executed year, applied image, drawing, lighting directing analysis, analyzed diagram, applied lighting analysis, applied lighting, and legend. In addition, six effects related to stage lighting directing are deducted through the Korean and overseas case analysis, which are visual effect, phenomenal effect, consecutive effect, nuance effect, space formation effect, and dimensional effect. Based on this case analysis, future research on stage lighting directing must focus on decorative characteristics, directional characteristics, transitional characteristics, and symbolic color characteristics. (Conclusion) Since 2010, research on stage lighting directing has gradually increased and its importance has been gradually recognized as well. Accordingly, research is being conducted to establish the insufficient theory on stage lighting directing. In this research, the academic importance of stage lighting directing is recognized by analyzing and synthesizing the effects of stage lighting directing through actual case studies. The effects that were synthesized based on the stage lighting directing analyzed in this research are expected to serve as basic academic data for future research.
