초록

이 논문은 藥山 吳光運(1689∼1745)의 『藥山漫稿』 권5에 독립적으로 실려 있는 「海東樂府」 28首에 나타난 내용적, 형식적 특성을 고찰하고, 그 악부사적 의미를 살펴보고자 한 것이다.
그가 살았던 17세기 말~18세기 초는 조선후기의 사회･경제적 변동에 따른 여러 가지 사회적 모순에 직면하여, 전통적 사회체제를 극복하고 그 해결책을 구상하여 새로운 사회를 이루려는 일련의 사상개혁체제를 고심하던 시기였다. 「해동악부」는 이러한 정치적 상황 아래 민족의식과 자주의식에 바탕한 自國의 역사와 풍토에 대한 학문적 관심이 증대된 시기에 산출된 문학이다.
「해동악부」에서 보이는 내용적 특징은 우리 民族史의 정통성을 나름대로 제시하면서 그 영광스러운 국면들에 대한 자부심을 표현함을 중요한 작품세계로 하고 있다. 또한 우리 선인들의 열적을 찬양하는 한편으로, 그들이 지녔던 美風良俗을 찬양하고 懷古하고자 한 작품의 비중이 높은 작품이 다수이다. 이것에서 더 나아가 이러한 우리 과거사의 영광이나 선인의 위업이 오늘날에 재현되기를 바라는 염원에서 過去史가 現在化되기를 바라는 마음이 강하게 담겨있다.
형식적 특징으로는 매우 자유분방한 시형과 구법, 압운의 다양성을 들 수 있다. 여타 영사악부 작가들 중 齊言體의 비율이 가장 낮은 양상으로 근대 이전 단계의 시문학 형태의 모습을 여실히 드러낸다고 할 수 있겠다.
전반적으로 「해동악부」는 시인의 관점에서 서술하고 영탄하는 데 치중하여 사실의 진술･포폄･영탄･해석 등을 드러내는 표현적 특징을 지니고 있다. 그 외 서술자와 독백자가 공존하는 표현방식으로 일종의 극적인 효과를 얻게 하는 표현도 있다.
조선 초기의 金宗直과 중엽의 沈光世･李瀷･林昌澤 등의 「海東樂府」를 계승하여 조선후기 李匡師･金壽民･李令翊 등의 후대 작가들에게 교량적 역할을 감당하였고, 민족적･주체적 문학의 수립에 일정하게 기여한 점을 그 의의로 규정할 수 있다.

영어초록

This paper aims at examining the characteristics of the contents and the form of the 28 pieces of Haedong-Akbu(「海東樂府」), independently given in the fifth volume of Oh Gwang-woon’s(1689∼1745) Yaksan-mango(『藥山漫稿』), and at studying their meaning in the history of Akbu poetry.
During the period of the end of 17th century and the early 18th century when he lived, people were confronted with various social contradictions resulted from the social and economic changes of the latter part of Joseon dynasty, and a series of renovations of the ideology were being seriously considered in order to overcome the traditional social system, come up with the solutions for them, and to establish a new society. Haedong-Akbu is the literature produced under this political background, when the scholastic interest in one’s own history and natural features based on the national and independent consciousness increased.
With regard to the characteristics in the contents of Haedong-Akbu, its main theme is to present the legitimacy of Korean history in its own way, and to express the people’s pride in the glorious aspects of Korean history. In addition to praising the ancestors’ achievements, most of the works focused on admiring and reflecting on their public morals. Moreover, they show the strong wish that the glory of Korean past history and the great achievements of ancestors would be repeated today and that the past history would become the present one.
In terms of the characteristics of their forms, they have very liberal meters and phrasal rules, and different kinds of rhymes. They held the lowest rate of proposal poeof pmong other writers of Yeongsa-Akbu, and displayed the forms of the poems before the modern times as they were.
In general, Haedong-Akbu lays stress on describing and admiring from a poet’s viewpoint, so it has the characteristics of expression to reveal the statement of facts･praise and censure･exclamation･interpretation. Besides, as a way to express where a narrator and a soliloquizing person coexist, there are some expressions consisting of the background stories of a kind of dramatic effect, or the words of the characters appearing in an incident.
Their significance can be defined as the contribution to playing the role of bridge by inheriting the Haedong-Akbu written by Kim Jong-jik of the early period of Joseon dynasty and the one by Shim Gwang-se‧Lee Ik‧Lim Chang-taek in the middle era, and by delivering it to the writers of the next generation in the latter part of Joseon dynasty, such as Lee Gwang-sa‧Kim Su-min‧Lee Yeong-ik , and the contribution to establishing the national･subjective literature to some degree.
