교토대학 소장 금석집첩(金石集帖)에 대하여 (A Study on the Geumseokjipcheop (金石集帖) in the Kyoto University)

초록

교토대학 부속도서관에는 일반귀중서로 『금석집첩(金石集帖)』 정편과 속집의 대형219책이 소장되어 있다. 이 둘을 ‘금석집첩(金石集帖)’이라고 부른다. 이것은 조선후기영조 때 정치가 청사(淸沙) 김재로(金在魯, 1682-1759)와 후인(後人)이 엮은 비석 탁본모음이다. 일부 책자의 등에는 ‘흠흠헌(欽欽軒)’이라고 묵서되어 있다, 이것은 김재로의헌호(軒號)로 추정된다. 전체는 항목별로 분류되어 있고, 권차(卷次)는 천자문 순서이다. 219책 가운데 3책은 복본(複本)이다. 교토대학에서 어느 때인가 연필로 외표지에번호를 매긴 것에 의하면 그 시점에서는 230책이 완질이었던 듯하다.
교토대학 소장 『금석집첩』과 『속집첩』에 대해서는 후지모토 유키오 교수가 상세 목록을 작성한 바 있다. 하지만 현재 교토대학 부속도서관의 정리번호와는 일치하지 않는 부분이 있다. 또한 『금석집첩』은 묘비(墓碑)의 류와 범비묘비제기사(凡非墓碑諸紀事)의 류를 나누어 수록하고, 묘비의 류는 망자(亡者)의 관직에 따라 정리하되, 김재로 집안의 비문들을 별도로 정리해 두었으며, 음관(蔭官)⋅부인(婦人)⋅호남인(湖南人)⋅영남인(嶺南人)⋅관서북관인(關西北關人)⋅여항인(閭巷人) 등의 항목을 설정해 두었다.
한편, 김재로의 후인이 『금석집첩』의 탁본 목록을 정리하고 추가로 기록한 필사본 『금석록(金石錄)』이 고려대학교 육당문고(六堂文庫)에 이 있다. 이 총목은 ‘천조(天朝)’부터‘석사(釋寺)’까지 34항으로 구성했으며, 2,405점을 본편(本編) 206책, 속편 20책에 나누어 수록했다. 단, 중복이 있어, 실제로는 2,265점의 탁본 목록이 확인된다.
『금석집첩』에 대해서 가쓰라기 스에하루(葛城末治)와 마에마 교사쿠(前間恭作)는 규장각에 『금석첩(金石帖)』 39책이 소장되어 있다고 언급한 바 있으나, 현재 규장각에는1책(‘得’자 책)이 보관되어 있다. 그리고 동일 형태의 금석첩은 고려대학교 중앙도서관육당문고(六堂文庫)에 28책과 개인소장의 5책이 별도로 존재한다고 알려져 왔으나, 육당문고에서는 교토대학에 없는 ‘邇’자 책, ‘過’자 책, ‘忘’자 책, ‘維’자 책, ‘習’자 책의일부가 확인된다. 그리고 ‘禍’자 책의 예처럼 육당문고에는 교토대학 『금석집첩』과 중복되는 것도 있다. 교토대학의 『금석집첩』에 복본이 3책이 있고, 고려대학교에 별도로28책의 낙질이 있는 것으로 보아, 김재로 등이 『금석집첩』을 제작할 때 일부는 2질을 제작한 것이 아닌가 추측된다.

영어초록

In Kyoto University Library, 219 volumes of Geumseokjipcheop (金石集帖) Jeongpyeon (the main part) and Sokjip (the sequel) are owned as a general-valuable collection.
These books are collectively titled ‘Geumseokjipcheop.’ It is an assortment of rubbings of stone monuments, which was compiled by a politician in the late Joseon king Yeongjo: Cheongsa (淸沙) Kim Jaeroe (金在魯, 1682-1759) and his successors. There is a ink note ‘Heumheumheon (欽欽軒)’ on the spine of some volumes. The note is considered to be a Kim Jaeroe’s manor title (軒號). The entire books are categorized by items, and its volume sequence follows a letter sequence of The Thousand Characters Classic.
Three volumes of 219 volumes are duplicated copies. According to a penciled number on the cover, written by Kyoto University at a certain point, it seems that the book collection was 230 volumes in total.
Hujimoto Yukio made a detailed list of Guemseokjipcheop and Sokjipcheop in Kyoto University. However, the list have some points that are not correspond with a reference number of Kyoto University library. Guemseokjipcheop separated a category ‘tombstones (墓碑)’ from ‘general articles except tombstones (凡非墓碑諸紀事).’ Also, it arranged the tombstones category by an official title of the deceased, separately arranged epitaphs of Kim Jaeroe’s family. It also set up items such as Eumgwan (蔭官: officials who are specially recruited by a lineage), Buin (婦人: madams), Honamin (湖南人: people from southwestern region), Yeongnamin (嶺南人: people from southeastern region), Gwanseobukgwanin (關西北關人: people from northen region), Yeohanin (閭巷人: middleclass), etc.
Meanwhile, Korea University Yukdangmungo (六堂文庫) owns manuscrips Geumseokrok (金石錄), an organized and supplemented list of stone rubbings in Geumseokjipcheop, edited by a successor of Kim Jaeroe. This complete list is composed of 34 categories from Cheonjo (天朝: The emperor’s nation) to Seoksa (釋寺: Buddhist monks and temples). 2,405 pieces of rubbings are contained in the main part 206 volumes and the sequel part 20 volumes. However, it actually has 2,265 pieces of rubbings because of overlaps in the list.
About Geumseokjipcheop, Katsuragi Sueharu and Maema Kyousaku mentioned that Gyujanggak owns Geumseokcheop 39 volumes, however currently, Gyujanggak only owns one volume with a ‘得’ letter sequence. Also, Geumseokcheop with the same shape had been known to be owned by Korea University Yukdangmungo (28 volumes) and a private collector (5 volumes). It is confirmed that a ‘邇’ sequence volume, a ‘過’ volume, a ‘忘’ volume, a ‘維’ volume, and part of ‘習’ volume are owned by Yukdangmungo. These volumes are not owned by Kyoto University. Also there are overlaps between Yukdangmungo and Kyoto University, for example the ‘禍’ volume. Considering three duplicated volumes in Kyoto Universiry and 28 separate volumes in Korea University, it can be assumed that some volumes of Geumseokjipcheop was made to two copies at the point of its publication by Kim Jaeroe and his colleagues.
