러시아어 음식 관련 관용어의 개념화와 가치 평가적 특징 분석 (A Study on the Conceptualization and Axiological Evaluative Characteristics of Russian Food-Related Idioms)

초록

본 연구에서는 인간의 가장 기본적인 식문화를 통해 형성된 음식 관련 관용어를 중심으로 러시아인들의 개념화 양상과 가치 평가적 특징을 살펴보았다. 음식이라는 구성요소가 있는 러시아의 관용어는 사람과 관련된 다양한 개념들을 양산하였고, 그러한 표현들을 통해 다각도에서의 가치 평가적 의미를 내포했다. 음식 관련 관용어에는 러시아인들의 대표적인 음식인 хлеб, каша와 관련된 표현들이 많았으며, 이를 통해 생존과 생활을 위한 돈, 부, 빈곤을 기반으로 하는 재정 상황과 정신적, 상황적 상태를 의미하는 표현들이 많은 수를 차지하였다. 상대적으로 감정을 표현하는 음식 관련 관용어는 매우 적었다. 이는 음식이 사람의 생존, 생계에 직접적으로 밀접한 관련 있는 요소인 만큼 이와 관련된 어휘 및 표현들이 감정적이거나 정서적인 측면보다는 실제 삶의 양상 및 수단들을 개념화하는 데 더 활발히 적용되었음을 알려 준다. 관용어의 가치 평가적인 측면에서는 사회적 상태 평가, 강도의 평가, 도덕 및 운리적 평가들이 많이 나타났고 정서적 상태 평가가 가장 적게 나타났다. 이는 인간의 경제 활동 및 활동 상황과 관련된 음식 관련 관용어가 다수를 이루기 때문이다. 대다수의 평가적 의미는 관용어의 의미 혹은 관용어의 구성성분에 내재된 가치 판단의 인식에서 비롯된 것이었으며, 그러한 인식은 전통적 관습 및 고정관념에서 기인했다. 일부 음식 관련 관용어는 중립적인 평가 양상을 띠는 경우도 있었는데, 말은 의사소통 속에서 그 기능적인 측면이 활성화되기 때문에 실제 언어 사용에서는 그 평가적 쓰임새는 달라질 수 있다고 하겠다.

영어초록

This study aims to examine the conceptualization aspects and evaluative characteristics of Russians settled in language expressions from a cognitive linguistic point of view, focusing on idioms related to Russian food. Idioms reflect the society, culture, and life of the country and have the property of showing the consciousness structure of the nation. Since food is an essential element in daily life, it can be said that food-related idioms, which form the center of life culture, project the internal culture and national characteristics of the country more than any other expression.
As a result of the study, it was found that Russian idioms with a component called food produced various concepts related to people, and through such expressions, it was found to imply value evaluation in various angles. In Russian food-related idioms, there were many expressions related to хлеб and каша, which are representative Russian foods. Through these expressions, a large number of expressions mean the financial situation and mental and situational state based on money, wealth, and poverty for survival and living. Vocabulary, which people use the most in everyday life, becomes a means of expression to describe themselves and the people around them. In other words, it showed that it is very likely to be used as idiomatic expressions to describe human emotions, qualities, and human behavioral symptoms.
Metaphors appear differently according to cultural differences and differences in thinking in each language. Since there is an inevitable mutual connection between culture and thinking, a nation's consciousness, ideology, culture, and values can be glimpsed in metaphorical expressions. Idioms are special language expressions that reflect cultural background, and there are many parts that are difficult to understand with basic language knowledge. Through this study, it will help to understand and learn idioms by examining the cognitive and cultural characteristics of Russians inherent in language expressions. In addition, through comparative research with idioms from other languages, it will be an opportunity to examine linguistic phenomena that are uniquely formed due to different ethnic food cultures while being common.
