인천 산단·비산단 기업 비교분석- 매출액과 투자 분석을 중심으로 - (Comparative Analysis of Incheon Industrial-Complex and Non-Industrial-Complex Firms:Focusing on Sales and Investment Analysis)

초록

본 연구는 인천시 산업단지 입주기업의 투자와 매출에 대한 성과를 비입주기업과 비교하여실증적 성과 차이를 식별하는 데 목적이 있다. TS2000(2004년∼2023년) 기업 정보 및 재무정보를 활용하여 인천 내에 위치한 산업단지 입주기업과 비입주기업을 비교분석한다. 입주기업과비입주기업을 구분하기 위해 기업 주소를 좌표계로 전환하고, 국토부에서 제공하는 산업단지 경계도면 좌표계를 활용하였다. 입주기업과 비입주기업의 성과를 투자(총자산 대비 투자액)와 매출액(총자산 대비 매출액) 측면에서 비교분석하기 위해 회귀분석을 진행하였다. 분석 결과 2004년 이후 산업단지 입주기업의 투자는 비노후산단에서 양호한 것으로 보이나 산업단지 조성 후시간이 경과하면서 비노후산단에서의 투자성과도 정체·악화되었다. 매출액 측면에서는 노후·비노후 여부와 상관없이 산업단지 입주기업의 매출액이 비입주기업에 비해 낮게 나타났으며, 특히 최근 10년간 비입주기업 대비 입주기업의 매출 감소가 상대적으로 더 크게 나타났다. 본 분석 결과는 인천 제조업 성과 개선을 위해 향후 산업단지에 대해 보다 적극적인 산업정책이 요구됨을 함의한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to identify empirical differences in performance by comparing theperformance of investment and sales of firms inside industrial complexes with that of firms outsideindustrial complexes in Incheon. Using corporate and financial information from TS2000(2004-2023), it compares and analyzes firms inside and outside industrial complexes located inIncheon. In order to distinguish between firms inside and outside, it converts firms’ addresses tocoordinates and then uses the industrial complex boundary coordinates provided by the Ministryof Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Regression analysis is conducted to compare and analyzethe performance of firms inside and outside in terms of investment (to total assets) and sales (tototal assets). As a result of the analysis, investment by firms inside industrial complexes appearsgood in non-aging industrial complexes after 2004, but investment performance in non-agingindustrial complexes has stagnated and deteriorated over time since the industrial complexeswere created. In terms of sales, regardless of whether they are aged or non-aged, the sales offirms inside industrial complexes are lower than those of firms outside, and in particular, the salesdecline of firms inside in the last 10 years is relatively greater than that of firms outside. Theresults of this analysis imply that active industrial policies are required for industrial complexes inthe future to improve the performance of Incheon manufacturing industry.
