장애영유아 가족중심 중재 국내 연구동향 분석 (Analysis of Research Trends on Family-Centered Interventions for Infants and Young Children with Disabilities)

초록

본 연구는 2004년부터 2013년까지의 만 0-5세 장애영유아를 위한 가족중심 중재에 대한 국내 연구를 분석하였다. 분석대상으로 선정된 논문은 총 20편이었고, 이를 연구 대상, 연구 방법, 중재(독립변인), 종속변인으로 나누어 분석하였다. 분석결과, 대상 아동은 만 3-5세 발달지체 유아가 대부분이었고, 가족 구성원으로는 주로 어머니가 대상이었으므로, 만 0-2세의 장애영아와 어머니 이외 다른 가족 구성원의 참여가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 연구 방법은 단일대상연구, 실험연구, 사례연구 위주로 이루어지고 있었으므로 향후 가족이 참여하는 연구에는 질적 연구법을 사용한 연구가 요구된다. 중재에 대한 분석결과로 중재 훈련 방법은 연구자가 주도하는 설명식 강의와 시범이 대부분이었으므로 중재자가 반성적 사고를 할 수 있는 훈련 방법의 모색이 필요하다. 중재 기간은 3개월 미만의 단기간 연구가 대부분이었으므로 앞으로는 장기간의 연구가 실행될 필요성이 있었다. 종속변인을 분석한 결과, 영유아 관련 종속변인은 의사소통과 사회적 기술 향상을 위한 연구가 많았으나 신변자립 향상을 위한 연구는 매우 부족하여 이와 관련된 연구가 필요하였다. 가족 관련 종속변인을 확인한 연구는 부족하였는데, 주로 가족 중재자와 장애영유아의 상호작용의 변화를 측정하였다. 추후에는 가족의 기능을 강화할 수 있는 가족 관련 종속변인을 확인하는 연구가 실행되어야 할 것이다.

영어초록

This study presented the analysis results of domestic researches on family-centered interventions for infants and young children with disabilities aged 0-5 between year 2004 and 2013. Total 20 researches were selected for analysis and analyzed by the subjects, methodologies, interventions(independent variables), and dependent variables. As the results, the subjects were mostly young children of 3-5 ages with developmental delays and communication disorders. Of the family members, mothers were usually the subjects. Those analysis results showed a need to promote the participation of infants with disabilities aged 0-2 and family members other than mothers. As the methodology, single-subject, experimental, and case studies were usually carried out, which called for researches using qualitative methodologies when family members participate in them. The analysis results of interventions revealed that the usual training methods for intervention were explanation-based lectures and demonstrations led by the researcher, which pointed to the need for training methods to allow the mediator to do reflective thinking. Interventions were implemented usually at home with a shortage of interventions implemented in the community. As the intervention period, most of the researches had an intervention of three months or shorter, which raised a need for long-term researches. According to the analysis results of the dependent variables, there were many researches on the improvement of communication and social skills among the dependent variables related to infants and young children, but the researches on the enhancement of self-help were in absolute shortage and need to be done more. The researches that confirmed dependent variables related to family were lacking with most researches measuring changes to the interactions between the family mediator and the infants or young children with disabilities. Future study should confirm family-related dependent variables to reinforce the functions of the family.
