초록

우리나라의 고대 국가는 衣冠을 정제하고 禮를 갖추었던 예의지국이다. 의례의식에 공급된 각양각색 衣裝(服飾)의 수요로 인해 錦, 繡, 罽, 羅 등의 고급 견직물을 생산하였으며, 상당한 수준의 技藝를 발전시켜 그 시대의 과학기술과 예술정신이 함축된 물질문화를 형성하였다.
고대 문헌과 고구려 고분벽화에 의하면, 왕을 비롯한 신분이 높은 자는 견직물 중에서도 物性이 가볍고 통풍이 잘되는 羅직물로서 冠帽를 제작하였음을 알려준다. 고려시대에 이르러 나직물에 刺繡와 印繪로 문양을 첨가한 아름다운 고급 衣料가 성행하였다. 그러나 조선시대부터 그 쓰임새를 찾아 볼 수 없을 정도로 절멸되어 오늘날까지 나직조 공예기술의 맥은 끊어졌다.
본 연구에서는 인류문화예술의 유산으로서 수공예의 가치가 지대한 나직물-날실4올꼬임라의 복원을 시도하여 국내외 유물을 종합, 비교하므로 배경, 원류, 유형, 공예기술 및 특징을 밝히고, 수차례의 실험과 반복을 통해 유물의 과학적인 수복관리, 보존복원, 기술체계를 세우며, 직기 도구, 직조 기법, 직기 조작 등 실질적인 문제를 해결하였다.
이 연구 성과로 인해 패션소재에서 뮤지엄의 전시대체품에 이르기까지 소급되는 나직물의 실물을 제공할 수 있게 되었다. 나아가 고대방직품의 전통과학기술과 미학을 기반으로 텍스타일 신소재의 개발을 창출하고, 아울러 전통섬유 관련 산업의 개발과 전망을 제시하였다.

영어초록

In the ancient country of our land is the country of courtesy which always equipped with formal clothes and hat. Thus, due to the necessity of formal clothing for various rituals and ceremonies Goguryo, Backje and Shila produces silk fabrics such as polychrome woven silk, embroidery, woven wool, la woven silk. And they also forms the material culture which contains the spirit of art and the technology of the time as the significant level of handicraft.
According to the literature records and the murals of the tombs, we could find out that the high class people including the king use to wear the crown made by la woven silk which is light and has good ventilation. Untill Goguryo dynasty, the la woven silk had prospered as beautiful and fancy materials for clothing with applying the extra embroidery and printing and dyeing. But from Chosun dynasty the la woven silk started to almost extinct and even its use can hardly be found.
The purpose of this study is to try to restore the 4-end complex la which has the great value of handicraft as the inheritance of cultural art of the mankind. and by putting together and comparing of both domestic and foreign relics we verified the background, origins, types, craft technique and the characteristics. And also through the numbers of experiments and tests we established the scientific recovering management, restoring and conservation, systems of technology and also fixed the realistic problems of weaving tools, weaving technique and operating of the weaver.
By the achievements of this study, the supply of real la woven silk as for substitute for exhibit of the museum or as the materials for fashion business became possible.
Furthermore, we could create the new textile materials based on the esthetic and the Traditional science and technology of the Ancient textiles and we also suggested the vision and development of traditional textile-related business.
