기계경비실습실 설치 및 운영의 발전방향 (Proposals for the Installation and Operation of Electronic Security Lab)

초록

1970년대 미국 전자공학의 발달에 힘입어 기계경비산업은 고부가가치산업으로 급성장하고 있다. 우리나라에서는 1980년대 초 기계경비업이 도입된 이래, 2001년에는 정식 허가 업종으로 분류되어 현재 업체가 150여개에 달하고 있다. 경호관련학과는 1990년대 중반 탄생되어 현재 전국 70여개의 대학에 자리를 잡고 있다. 기계경비는 이러한 경호관련학과의 주요 교과목 중의 하나이다. 또 이론과 실무를 겸비하기 위해 기계경비실습실을 설치하여 운영하고 있다. 대학의 관심과 시설투자 등 해당 대학이 처한 환경에 따라 다양하게 설치․운용되고 있으나, 기계경비실습실이 적정하게 설치되어 운영되는 곳은 극소수에 불과하다. 더불어 기계경비에 정통한 학자들이 많이 배출되지 않아 기계경비업체의 단순 제안에 의존해 최소 설치되고 있는 실정이다.
현대사회의 경호경비서비스는 토탈시큐리티시스템으로 전개되고 있으며, 기업들은 대학들에게 실무형 교육과 주문식 교육 등 기업에서 현실적으로 필요한 이론과 실습의 병행교육을 요구하고 있다.
따라서 이 연구에서는 교육역량강화를 위해 경호․경찰관련학과에 설치되는 기계경비실습실 구성의 방향을 제시하고 발전방안을 논의하고자 하였다.
기계경비관련 기계경비실습실, 체험관, 홍보관 등의 시설이 전국 대학, 기관, 협회, 기업 등에 설치․운영되어야 하고 확대 되어야 한다. 또 설치되는 기계경비실습실은 복합형으로 설계될 때 효율성이 있으며, 그 구성은 체계화되고 통합시스템화가 되어야 실질적 교육이 이루어질 수 있다. 현실적으로 사용되고 있는 방범경보시스템, 출입통제시스템, 영상감시시스템, 외곽침입감지시스템, 방재시스템 등으로 다양화하여 구성하는 것이 실질적이고 실효적이라 할 수 있다. 그리고 시큐리티엑스포 등과 연계․협력하여 발전하기를 기대한다. 또한 한국경비협회 등 유관협회의 지원과 역할도 확대되어야 대학은 물론 기업들과 상생하는데 큰 도움이 될 것이다. 마지막으로 기계경비시스템에 대한 표준화와 연구개발도 병행되어야 할 것이다.

영어초록

Thanks to the development of electronic engineering in the US from 1970, electronic security has grown to a industry with high added value. In Korea, electronic security was introduced in early 1980s and was classified as an officially permitted industry in 2001. Currently, about 150 companies are in the business throughout the country. Since the study on security science was introduced into Korea in the mid-1990s, a department of security science has been opened in about 70 universities. Electronic security is one of the main subjects of the department. To provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical experience at the same time, some departments have an electronic security lab.
However, the number of universities that have an electronic security lab is very limited, and how the lab is installed and operated varies depending on each university's situation such as its academic focus and investment capacity. In addition, there are not many scholars yet in the field, and thus the lab is established and operated relying mainly on the electronic security companies’ needs and know-how.
The security service in this modern society is evolving into a total security system. Therefore, companies request universities to educate both theory and practice which are essential for them by offering both a theory-oriented curriculum and an applicationoriented curriculum.
With this in mind, this study aims to discuss and make proposals on how to improve electronic security labs installed in security science or police science departments.
Facilities related to electronic security such as electronic security labs, experience centers and PR centers should be installed and operated in more universities, organizations, institutes and companies. In addition, an electronic security lab can properly do its role only when it is designed multi-purpose and systematized and integrated toward substantive education. In order to guarantee practicality and effectiveness, its contents should be diversified to include a real-life security alarms system, access control system, CCTV system, and perimeter intrusion detection system. It is expected that the lab can further develop in conjunction with Security EXPO. In addition, support from the related institutes such as Korea Security Association should be expanded so that universities and companies can coexist. Lastly, the standardization and R&D on electronic security system should be continued hand in hand.
