5세 해솔반의 바깥놀이 개선을 위한 실행연구 (Action research for improving outdoor play in 5 year old Haesol class)

초록

본 연구는 실행연구를 통해 5세 해솔반의 바깥놀이를 개선하고자 하였다. J시에 소재한 해솔반5세 유아 20명과 교사 1명이 본 연구에 참여하였다. 연구자는 해솔반의 바깥놀이 운영 실태를 되돌아보고인식한 문제점을 바탕으로 3차의 실행 과정을 거쳤다. 유아의 바깥놀이 관찰, 놀이 기록물, 유아 면담 및연구자 저널 등의 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 연구결과, 첫째 1차 실행에서는 유아 주도적 공간 활용경험 지원하기, 유아의 또래관계 경험 확장하기, 감독자에서 놀이 관찰자 및 놀이 참여자를 실행 및 평가하였다. 2차 실행에서는 바깥놀이 경험 또래와 공유하기, 교사의 목소리 덜어내기를, 3차 실행에서는 바깥놀이시간 연장 운영하기, 유아에게 마음으로 다가가기를 실행하고 평가하였다. 둘째, 실행을 통해 유아의 주도성, 의사표현력과 사회적 관계가 증진되었다. 교사는 바깥놀이 실행에 대한 자신감 향상 및 이해도가 제고되었고, 바깥놀이의 가치, 유아 중심 교육과정 실행에 대한 이해력 및 유아와의 관계가 긍정적으로 개선되었다.
따라서 바깥놀이에서 교사는 환경구성 및 놀이참여자 등의 역할을 적극 수행해야 하며, 유아와 함께 만들어가는 교육과정을 통해 유아의 바깥놀이 개선을 위한 다양한 지원 방안을 모색할 필요가 있다.

영어초록

This study aimed to improve the outdoor play of a 5-year-old class. Twenty 5-year-old children and one teacher from one class at a public kindergarten in J City participated in this study. The researcher reflected on the current status of outdoor play and conducted three rounds of implementation based on the perceived problems. Using an action research approach, observations of children's outdoor play, play recordings, interviews with children and the researcher's journal were used to analyse the effectiveness of the action plan and their changes.
The results showed that in the first implementation the researcher supported child-led experiences of space use, extended children's experiences of peer relationships and evaluated the role of carers as play observers and participants: In the second implementation, sharing outdoor play experiences with peers and reducing the teacher's voice were implemented and evaluated: In the third implementation, increasing outdoor play time and approaching children with heart were implemented and evaluated. Second, the implementation improved children's initiative, expression and social relationships. Teacher's confidence and understanding of the implementation of outdoor play increased, and their understanding of the value of outdoor play, the implementation of child-centred curriculum and their relationship with children improved positively. Therefore, teachers should play an active role in outdoor play, such as organising the environment and participating in the play, and it is necessary to explore various support measures to improve young children's outdoor play through the curriculum created with young children.
