일본 중등 역사교과서의 임나일본부설 (The Imna-ilbonbu theory in Japan's middle school history textbook)

초록

일본의 중학교 역사교과서는 일본사회의 보편적인 역사관을 반영하고 있다. 그런데 현행 일본 중학교 사회과 교과서에는 임나일본부설이 긍정적인 관점으로 기재되어 있다. 임나일본부설은 4 6세기에 倭의 군대가 한반도 남부를 정벌하고 지배했다는 19 20세기의 정치편향 학설로서 20세기말에이미 일본학계에서도 폐기되다시피 한 것인데, 학교 역사교육은 아직도 옛 제국주의시대의 분위기를벗어나지 못한 것이다.
현재 일본에서 규모가 가장 큰 교과서 출판사인 東京書籍주식회사의 새로운 사회: 역사 , 36쪽과37쪽은 4세기에 강력한 세력을 구축한 야마토정권( 日本書紀 ), 그것을 증명하는 前方後圓墳 중심의고분문화, 중국과 교류한 倭5王( 宋書 ), 고구려와의 전쟁(廣開土王碑), 渡來人을 통한 기술문화 수입 등임나일본부설 논리에 맞춘 요소들이 핵심내용으로 편집 구성되어 있다. 자료의 신뢰도를 비롯한 학계의 비판적 연구성과는 반영하지 않았기에 구성만으로도 임나일본부설을 연상시키기에 충분하다.
扶桑社의 역사교육관을 이어받은 自由社의 중학사회: 새로운 역사교과서 와 育鵬社의 [新編]새로운일본의 역사 는 아예 임나일본부설을 노골적으로 본문에 서술하고 있다. 특히, 育鵬社의 역사교과서는 고대의 倭國을 ‘우리나라’라고 지칭함으로써 현재적 시각을 고대사에까지 연장하였으며, 4 6세기에 倭가 바다 건너 한반도 남부지역을 지배했다는 임나일본부설을 역사적 사실로 확정하였다.
한국과 일본의 주류 역사학계는 종래의 임나일본부설이 더 이상 성립할 수 없는 비과학적이며 정치적인 역사왜곡이라는 데에 대체로 동의한다. 6세기 이후에야 철기를 자체 생산할 수 있었던 일본열도의 정치세력이 4세기에 이미 철제갑옷과 騎馬로 무장한 한반도의 정치세력을 2백여년간 지배했다고 보기는 어렵기 때문이다. 한반도 남부지역의 고고학적 발굴조사결과도 임나일본부설과는 전혀다르다. 그럼에도 불구하고 일본 역사교과서의 서술 기조와 내용이 20세기 전반기와 크게 다르지 않은 것은 그것이 학문적인 연구성과와 과학적 논리에 기반한 것이 아니라 다른 비과학적 요소의 영향아래 있기 때문이다. 일본 역사교과서의 임나일본부설 문제는 역사사실 연구와 역사인식 역사교육이 반드시 일치하는 것이 아님을 실증적으로 알려준다.

영어초록

Japan's middle school history textbook reflects the universal view of history in Japanese society.
However, current Japanese middle school history textbooks describe Imna-ilbonbu theory(claims that ancient Japan ruled the southern part of the Korean peninsula) as a positive view. The Imna-ilbonbu theory is a theory of political bias in the 19th and 20th centuries that the Japanese army conquered and ruled the southern part of the Korean peninsula in the 4th and 6th centuries, it had been abolished at the end of the 20th century.
At present, the middle school history textbook of the Tokyo Shoseki Co., the largest textbook publishing company in Japan, page 36 and page 37, includes the Yamato government built strong forces in the 4th century(Nihonshoki), the culture of old burial mounds in the center of Keyhole-shaped Kofun(Zenpoukouenfun), the 5 king of Wa who interacted with China(Sungshu), the war with Goguryeo (King Gwanggaeto's tombstone) and the importation of the technical culture through a migrant, the Elements that match the logic of the theory are organized in the core contents. It is sufficient not to reflect the scientific results of the academic world, including the reliability of the materials, but to reconcile the Imna-ilbonbu theory.
The mainstream history academia of Korea and Japan generally agrees with the non-scientific, political, and historical distortions that the traditional Imna-ilbonbu theory of Japan can not hold.
It is impossible that the political forces of the Japanese archipelago, which had been able to produce its own ironware since the 6th century, ruled the political forces of the Korean peninsula armed with iron armor and horse corp in the 4th century for over 200 years. The results of archaeological excavations in the southern part of the Korean peninsula are also quite different from those of the Imna-ilbonbu theory. The fact that the description and content of Japanese historical textbooks have not changed much in the first half of the 20th century means that the textbooks are not based on scholarly research results and scientific logic. The Imna-ilbonbu theory of the Japanese history textbook tells us that the study of history and the recognition of history and history education do not necessarily coincide.
