박인환 『'선시집'』 연구에 관한 제고 (Improvement of Research on Park In-hwan's 『Poetry Collection』)

초록

이 연구의 목표는 박인환의 『선시집』에 대한 인식의 전환을 도모하고, 시집의 구성 원리와 주제 의식 등 유의미한 지점들을 도출하여 박인환 시세계를 탐구하는 데 보다 다양한 시각이 파생될 수 있도록 일조하는 것에 있다.
1926년에 태어나 1956년 31살의 나이로 타계하기까지, 박인환의 생애는 비록 짧았지만 한국 시사에 그가 남긴 족적과 그 가치는 여전히 회자되고 있다. 특히 박인환은 신시론과 후반기 동인의 중심 인물로서 꾸준히 호명되어 왔는데, 때문에 초기 연구는 그의 시를 ‘모더니즘’이라는 시대의 한 경향성에 지나치게 집중되어 왔다는 한계를 가질 수밖에 없었다.
시대를 거치면서 박인환에 대한 부정적 평가는 여러 관점의 시도를 통해 긍정적인 평가로 뒤바뀌어 왔다. 현재까지의 연구사 검토와 그 구체적 흐름에 발맞추어, 이 연구에서 주목하고자 하는 것은 크게 두 가지이다. 첫째, 예술인으로서 1950년대를 풍미했던 박인환의 예술 세계를 전체적으로 목도한 연구 성과를 이루어내야 한다는 것이다. 둘째, 시인이 필연적으로 마주했던 시대적 담론을 바탕으로 하여 박인환 개인의 주체성과 정체성의 측면을 더 면밀히 관찰해야 한다는 점이다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 아직까지 그 연구가 미진한 박인환의 『선시집』에 주목하고자 한다.
박인환의 『선시집』은 시인의 첫 시집이자 유일시집이며, 그의 초기 시와 중기 시를 구분하는 데 있어 중요하게 다뤄질 수 있는 자료이다. 뿐만 아니라 시집의 ‘후기’에는 시인으로서의 자세와 사명감 등이 분명하게 드러나 있어 그가 지향해 온 시적 세계관을 추론할 수 있게 한다. 박인환은 ‘기묘한 불안정한 연대’로 이야기되는 시대를 살아오며 시인으로서의 소명을 다하고자 하였다. 혼란한 사회는 그야말로 변화의 연속이었으나, 한 가지 지켜온 것은 ‘시에 대한 정조와 신념’이었다. 이것이야말로 박인환의 시세계를 이루는 근본 토대라고 할 수 있을 것이다.
정리하자면, 이 연구는 『선시집』이 연구 자료로서 충분한 가치를 갖는다는 확신 하에 일련의 과제를 수행하고자 한다.『선시집』의 구성 원리를 통해 그 속에 내재되어 있는 작가의 의도와 시세계를 밝히고, 그의 작품을 새롭게 볼 수 있는 방향성을 제시하는 것이 이 연구의 최종 목표가 될 것이다.

영어초록

The aim of this study is to change Park In-hwan's perception of "Poetry Collection" and to help him derive more diverse perspectives in exploring Park In-hwan's market system by deriving meaningful points such as the composition principle and theme consciousness of the poetry collection.
From 1926 to his death at the age of 31 in 1956, Park In-hwan's life was short, but the traces and values he left behind in Korean history are still being talked about. In particular, Park In-hwan has been steadily called as the central figure of Shin Si-ron and Dong-in in the second half, so early research had no choice but to have a limitation that his poetry had been too focused on a trend in the era of "modernism." Throughout the times, the negative evaluation of Park In-hwan has changed to a positive evaluation through attempts from various perspectives. In line with the research company review and its specific trend so far, there are two main things to pay attention to in this study. First, as an artist, it is necessary to achieve research results that see the art world of Park In-hwan, who enjoyed the 1950s. Second, based on the discourse of the times that the poet inevitably faced, the aspects of Park In-hwan's individual subjectivity and identity should be observed more closely. To this end, this study aims to pay attention to Park In-hwan's book of poems, which has yet to be studied.
Park In-hwan's "Poetry Book" is the poet's first and only collection of poems, and it is an important material to distinguish between his early and mid-term poems. In addition, the "late" of the collection of poems clearly reveals his attitude and sense of duty as a poet, allowing him to infer the poetic worldview he has been pursuing. Park In-hwan tried to fulfill his mission as a poet by living in an era called a "strange unstable solidarity." A chaotic society was simply a series of changes, but one thing that had been kept was 'pity and belief in poetry'. This can be said to be the fundamental foundation of Park In-hwan's market system.
In summary, this study intends to carry out a series of tasks with the conviction that the Pre-Poetry Collection has sufficient value as a research material.The final goal of this study will be to reveal the artist's intention and market meter inherent in it through the composition principle of the book of poems, and to present the direction to see his work anew.
