초록

이 연구는 언론 인식, 자율성 인식, 언론윤리 인식 등과 직무 만족도와의 관련성을 탐색해 봄으로써 언론인들의 소명인식과 직무 만족도와의 관련성을 살펴보고자 했다. 구체적으로 신문사, 방송사, 인터넷 언론사 언론인들의 언론 평가, 직무소진 정도, 직무 만족도의 차이를 확인하고, 언론 평가, 직무소진 정도가 직무 만족도에 미치는 영향을 확인해 보고자 했다. 이를 위해 한국언론진흥재단의 ‘13회 기자 의식 조사(2017)’ 데이터를 활용하여 분석을 진행했다. 신문사 언론인 899명, 방송사 언론인 372명, 인터넷언론사 언론인 300명을 대상으로 진행된 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 인터넷 언론사의 언론인은 방송사와 신문사 중간 정도의 직무 만족도를 가지고 있었다. 다만, 신문사, 방송사 언론인에 비해 자사의 언론의 객관성, 심층성, 정확성 등을 긍정적으로 인식하고 있었고, 자율성 인식을 긍정적으로 평가했다. 아울러 가장 높은 언론윤리 인식을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 방송사 언론인은 신문사나 인터넷 언론사 언론인에 비해 언론 직무 만족도가 가장 높았다. 다만, 언론 윤리 인식, 자율성 인식, 언론 인식, 자사 언론 인식은 가장 낮았다. 신문사 언론인은 직무 만족도가 가장 낮았다. 다만 가장 긍정적인 언론 인식을 가지고 있었다. 둘째, 신문사 종사자의 직무 만족도 결정요인은 연령(-), 입사연도, 연봉, 언론인식, 자사 언론인식, 자율성 인식, 직무소진(-)이었다. 방송사 종사자의 직무 만족도 결정요인은 연봉, 언론인식, 자사 언론인식, 자율성 인식, 언론윤리 인식, 직무소진(-)이었다. 인터넷 언론사 종사자의 직무 만족도 결정요인은 연봉, 언론인식, 자사 언론인식, 직무소진(-)이었다.

영어초록

The This study set out to investigate relations between the perception of the press, autonomy and journalistic ethics, and job satisfaction, thus figuring out connections between the calling and job satisfaction of journalists. Specifically, it aimed to check differences in the evaluation of the press, burnout rate, and job satisfaction among journalists at newspapers, broadcasting stations, and Internet media and examine the effects of the evaluation of the press and burnout on job satisfaction. For these purposes, the study analyzed the data of the 13th "Survey on Reporters' Consciousness (2017)" by the Korea Press Foundation, covering 899 newspaper reporters, 371 broadcasting reporters, and 300 Internet media reporters. The findings were as follows: First, Internet media journalists had a job satisfaction level between broadcasting and newspaper journalists, perceiving their objectivity, profoundness, and accuracy more positively than the others. In addition, they had a positive assessment of their autonomy and the highest perception level of journalistic ethics. Broadcasting journalists recorded the highest job satisfaction level, surpassing their counterparts at newspapers and Internet media. They had the lowest perception level in journalistic ethics, autonomy, press, and their own media. Newspaper journalists had the lowest job satisfaction level and positive perception of the press. Secondly, the determinants of job satisfaction among the newspaper journalists were age (-), year of joining the newspaper, annual salaries, perception of the press, perception of their own newspapers, perception of autonomy, and burnout (-). The determinants of job satisfaction for broadcasting journalists were annual salaries, perception of the press, perception of their own broadcasting stations, perception of autonomy, perception of journalistic ethics, and burnout (-). Those of the Internet media journalists were annual salaries, perception of the press, perception of their own Internet media, and burnout(-).
