인공지능(AI)과 빅 데이터를 활용한 스팀(STEAM) 프로그램 개발 및 적용 성과 (Results of development and application of convergence talent training (STEAM) programs using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data)

초록

목적: 본 연구의 목적은 2015 개정 교육과정의 성취기준과 연계하여 체육, 통합과학, 기술·가정 교과를 중심으로스팀(STEAM) 프로그램을 개발하고, 학교 현장에 적용하여 학생과 교사의 만족도를 분석함으로써 프로그램의성과를 확인하는 데 있다.
방법: 프로그램 개발에는 대학교수 1인, 스포츠교육학 박사 1인 그리고 중학교 교사 3인이 참여하였다. 프로그램개발은 2020년 8월부터 10월까지 약 3개월간 진행 되었고, 프로그램 적용은 G광역시 소재 중학교 3학년 196명을대상으로 약 3주간 실시되었다. 프로그램에 대한 만족도 조사는 프로그램 참여 학생과 적용 교사에게 프로그램적용 후 설문조사를 통해 실시하였고, 세부적 내용에 대해서는 심층면담을 실시하였다.
결과: 첫째, 2015 개정 교육과정의 성취기준과 연계하여 체육, 통합과학, 기술·가정 교과를 융합한 ‘건강한 생활속으로 Start-Up’이라는 주제의 스팀(STEAM) 프로그램을 4차시로 개발하였다. 둘째, 스팀(STEAM) 프로그램만족도 조사 결과 ‘재미’요인이 4.02로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 과학·기술에 대한 ‘흥미’ 요인 4.08, 창의·융합 문제‘해결’ 요인 4.26, ‘태도’ 요인 3.91, ‘진로’ 요인이 3.50으로 나타났다. 교사 만족도는 스팀(STEAM) 교육의 필요성, 프로그램 구성 만족도가 4.12, 스팀(STEAM) 수업의 어려움 3.19, 스팀(STEAM) 교육의 효과가 3.91로 나타났다.
결론: 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 체육교과를 기반으로 한 스팀(STEAM) 교육 프로그램의 개발 성과를 충분히 확인하였고, 2015 개정교육과정에서 요구하는 창의·융합형 인재를 육성하기 위한 체육교과 중심의 스팀(STEAM) 프로그램 개발의 적용 가능성을 확인하였다.

영어초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop STEAM programs linked to physical education, integrated science, technology, home, and career achievement standards of the 2015 revised middle school curriculum and to analyze student and teacher satisfaction.
Methods: To this end, one university professor in G Metropolitan City, one doctor in sports education, and three middle school teachers participated in the development of the program. The program development took about three months from August to October 2020, and the program application was conducted for three weeks for 196 middle school seniors, and the satisfaction survey was conducted before and after the application of the program. Satisfaction tests were also conducted on teachers who participated in and applied to the development of the program, and in-depth interviews were conducted on both students and teachers.
Results: As a result of this study, the theme of "Start-Up into a Healthy Life" was developed four times to fit the STEAM learning framework with STEAM program, which is linked to the achievement standards of physical education, integrated science, technology, home, and career curriculum. Second, the results of the STEAM program satisfaction survey showed that the "fun" factor was the highest at 4.02, 4.08 for science and technology, 4.26 for solving creative convergence problems, 3.91 for attitude, and 3.50 for career factors. Teacher satisfaction was shown as the need for STEAM education, satisfaction with program composition 4.12, difficulty in STEAM classes 3.19, and effectiveness of STEA education 3.91.
Conclusion: Based on the above results, the performance of the STEAM program based on sports subjects was fully confirmed, and the possibility of developing a STEAM program centered on sports subjects to foster creative and convergent talents required by the 2015 revised curriculum was confirmed.
