초록

The aim of this paper is to analyze the existence of the iron bridle bits in the Yeongnam Region of the Proto-three Kingdoms. The iron bridle bits were first found to be buried in the Yeongnam Region of the Proto-three Kingdoms located in the Korean peninsula. They were buried everywhere except for the northwestern area. Because of this, it was said that the burial of the iron bridle bits was the result of external influence, for example Lelang (counties of Han), Yan (Age of War) of China or Hun's horse riding culture (Northern Asia).
But the shapes of the iron bridle bits in the Yeongnam Region are different from external areas. This implies that the process of the iron bridle bits appearance in the Yeongnam Region was not lineal. This study’s goal was to analyze the meaning of the attributes of the iron bridle bits by classifying them and arranging them by shape based on a time sequence.
There were four types of bridle bits and developed three steps. The first step is the burying the practical bridle bits, and the second step is the lacing the bracken decoration of the practical bridle bits, and last the unrealistic bridle bits were buried. With this evidence it appears that the progression of the iron bridle bits in the Yeongnam region goes from practical bridle bits to unrealistic bridle bits.
This is determined by the differences of the iron used to make the bridle bits in the Yeongnam Region of the Proto-three Kingdoms and the bridal bits in external areas at the same time.
