사이버대학 영어 학습자들의 온라인 학습현황 및 수업유형에 따른 태도 조사 (A Study on Cyber University English Learners' Online Learning Status and Attitudes Toward Different Types of English Classes)

This study investigated the current status of online learning among cyber university English learners and their attitudes toward different types of English classes. Data were collected through a survey of 542 students enrolled in English courses at A Cyber University in April 2024. The results of the quantitative analysis revealed that the most popular time for taking classes was after 6 PM, and students preferred classes that primarily used video lectures delivered by professors. Although most students had experience using AI tools, the frequency of use was not high. The results regarding learners' attitudes toward English listening, reading, writing, and theory classes indicated that the writing class scored the highest in terms of course content composition, satisfaction, and usefulness. The listening class received the highest scores for course volume and the appropriateness of multimedia resources, while the reading class achieved the highest interest. Regarding class difficulty, the theory class was perceived as the most challenging. In the writing class, it was observed that the older the students, the more difficulty they experienced. The theory class scored the lowest across all items in the second section of the survey. These findings can guide the development of English classes for cyber university learners.
