초록

순천은 순천만 국가정원, 순천만생태공원을 통해 자연과 생태를 중심으로 도시이미지를 구축하였다. 순천만생태공원 내의 순천만 자연생태관․천문대는 이러한 순천만의 자연과 생태에 대한 정보를 효과적으로 전달하기 위해 건립되었으나 현재 전시관의 낙후된 시설과 뒤쳐진 전시내용으로 관람객과 지역민의 관심과 흥미를 끌지 못하고 있다.
본 연구는 순천만 자연생태관․천문대에 현대적 첨단영상기술을 이용한 전시시스템을 구축하고 다양한 영상콘텐츠를 개발함으로 보다 흥미로운 전시공간을 창출하는데 목적을 둔다. 전시관 구축을 위해 기존전시개념에서 과감히 탈피하여, 자유로운 사고를 불러일으키는 창의적 공간, 융․복합적 매체를 아우르는 통일된 공간, 모든 연령층에게 감흥을 주는 흥미로운 공간이 되도록 전시관을 구축한다. 연구방법은 다음과 같은 순서로 기술한다.
첫째, 연구의 배경과 범위에 대해 기술하였다. 자료조사는 문헌조사, 학회자료검색, 인터넷검색 등이며, 현장조사는 현지탐방과 면담을 통해 이루어졌다. 둘째, 현재 개발 중인 최첨단영상기술을 알아보기 위해 다이나믹 영상컨트롤(DIC)시스템, 프로젝션 매핑, VR체험시스템에 대해 조사하였다. 또한 국내의 과학전시관과 국외의 첨단자연과학박물관의 사례조사와 첨단영상장비가 구축된 지역의 실감미디어지원센터를 탐방하였다. 셋째, 연구대상지인 순천만 자연생태관․천문대 현지답사를 통해 현황을 파악하고 담당자면담을 실시하였다. 연구내용을 바탕으로 첨단영상기술을 적용한 전시시스템구축과 다양한 영상콘텐츠를 개발하였다.
첨단영상매체를 이용한 전시관구축은 지역청소년들에게 창의적 사고와 지적호기심을 불러일으키고 지역주민들에게는 새로운 볼거리를 제공하며, 지역을 방문하는 관람객들에게 자연과 생태에 대한 정보를 효과적이고 감동적으로 전달할 것이다.
결론적으로 본 연구는 지역에 건립된 전시관에 첨단영상기술 적용과 영상콘텐츠 개발을 통해 흥미롭고 창의적인 전시공간을 구현함으로 지역 전시관 활성화에 적게나마 기여하는데 의의를 두고자 한다.

영어초록

Suncheon has built a city image centered on nature and ecology through Suncheon Bay National Garden and Suncheon Bay Ecological Park. The Eco- Museum and Astronomical Observatory in the Suncheon Bay Ecological Park has been constructed to effectively communicate information about the nature and ecology of Suncheon Bay. However, it is not attracted to interest of visitors and residents due to the outdated facilities and lagging exhibition contents.
The purpose of this study is to create a more interesting space by constructing an exhibition system using modern high - tech image technology and developing various contents in Suncheon Bay Eco-Museum and Astronomy Observatory. In order to construct an exhibition hall, it has to move out from the used exhibition concept, and build a creative space that brings out free thinking, an unified space that encompasses fusion and complex media, and an interesting space that gives inspiration to all ages. The research method is described in the following order.
First, the background and scope of the study were described. Data investigation refers to literature investigation, Internet search and investigation of data from society, while filed study took place through field visits and interviews. Second, studied of the Dynamic Image Control(DIC), Projection Mapping, VR experience system, which are high-tech technology. In addition, it surveys the case studies of nature and science museums in domestic and overseas, and also studied high technology by visiting immersive media center founded in the region. Third, it understand status quo through interview with the person in charge, and on-site survey in Suncheon Bay Eco-Museum and Astronomy Observatory, the place of this study. Based on the research, it is applied high-tech technology and various video contents. The construction of exhibition halls using advanced image technology will bring creative thinking and intellectual curiosity to local youths, provide new attractions to local residents, and convey information about nature and ecology to local visitors in an effective and moving way.
In conclusion, this study will contribute to revitalization of the local exhibition halls by the exciting and creative exhibition space through the application of advanced video technology and the development of visual contents.
